The food was fairly basic, but nothing wrong with it and very good value for money. Ham egg and jacket very nice.

After reading the previous reviews on tripadvisor i was a little unsure what to expect, our daughter had eaten there a few times and raved about it, but recent reviews were less glowing.
We decided to give it a try for ourselves and were pleasantly surprised.
The atmosphere was very welcoming, and we had no trouble getting a table, even on a Saturday night.
The food was served quickly and absolutely delicious, we couldn't fault it.
The staff were very attentive and checked several times to make sure we were happy.
I would happily recommend The Dog and Partridge to anyone looking for reasonably priced, good quality food, served in a warm friendly atmosphere. Many thanks.

We had our Christmas meal and sadly were unimpressed. The food was okay, however we encountered a catalogue of small issues. At first this is easy to forgive but after a while the very apologetic staff ran out of excuses. And although we are pub regulars we wouldn't come back for more than a bar meal.

This is next to the Green King Brewery and I presume owned by them.
It was Boxing Day lunch time so should I cut them some slack? No, I don't think so. The beer was good but that is a given isn't it?
We ordered food whilst the adjacent table was served. They all had fish and chips. They called the waiter back as the tartar sauce in their individual bowls was off.
One of our party ordered a jacket potato with trimmings. It was cold. My bangers and mash tasted and looked as though it had just been reheated from a previous day. The burger was very thin and the salad tired, The steak baguettes were more salad than steak.
Nice toilets though.
