A delightful place to stay and excellent value for money. The rooms are large and airy with thoughtful touches and lots of thick fluffy towels, and one of the rooms is a detached studio bedroom. A beautiful huge garden and a big conservatory to sit in in the summer. It is 10 minutes' walk south of the town centre and wonderfully quiet and peaceful. But George and John are the stars - delightful hosts - nothing too much trouble - friendly, funny, professional and very kind.

When you arrive at Nevill's Lodge, (if you can find it, we had a bit of trouble) your welcome is warm and friendly. George and John, the owners, are two amazing people. They are funny, kind, inviting and attentive.
The room was fantastic. Two double beds, an ensuite and even our own kitchen. However we couldn't use the kitchen. There was also a generous sized wardrobe, chest of draws and bed side tables. The room was even supplied with books and games for all ages!
Location was beautiful. VERY quiet, secluded and private. Also, not far from the beautiful centre of Bury, about a 20 minute walk. However we chose to drive.
This all came with a breakfast which was delicious. Grilled not fried, it was healthy and they gave generous portion sizes.

Overall, I would recommend this guest house if you are planning a trip to Bury St. Edmonds. Fantastic service, people and location!!
