We went to Saints this week for a work Xmas lunch. Engin had arranged we could have the evening meal at lunchtime. 10 of us went and we shared the lovely cellar bar. The staff were excellent especially Katherine she is a credit to the cafe, every detail was catered for and I really like to be asked by Engin at the end how the meal/ occasion was. It was excellent and I felt sorry for other diners listening to our ramblings. Would definately recommend this place. The food was delicious and the wine lovely! All in all not like a caf a bistro is a much better title, well done

Wonderful restaurant where you are guaranteed friendly service and amazing food. Saints is a 'cafe' with a difference. It covers everything from coffee and cake, to lazy lunches (try the paninis - the onion chutney is phenomenal), to tasty dinners, to late night drinks on a friday and saturday. There's a real greek/turkish flavour and the lamb meetballs, grilled halloumi and homemade hummus are just some of the delicious meze you can go for. I go here all the time with my friends and family and can not recommend it highly enough!

This is the way that businesses should be run. A warm welcome with perfect service, without feeling pressured. First impressions of cleanliness and efficiency proved to a good representation of things to come.
The food was delicious and very well presented, and indeed very tasty.
The piece de resistance must be their coffee!

After a year away, we pondered where to take my parents for dinner in Bury St Edmunds, which would also be appropriate for our 4 month old baby (asleep in his buggy!!). We walked past Saints and had a look at the menu and we were all suitably impressed. We booked a table for that evening and we had an absolutely wonderful time. We were seated somewhere quiet and with lots of space. The food looked and tasted really fresh with a Mediterranean feel. A small but varied menu is always appealing to us when choosing a place to eat, generally ensuring quality. Excellent meze style starters were particularly tasty. All four of us eating had a different main, all thoroughly enjoyed. Staff were very attentive and thoughtful. Lovely decor and fabulous wine list. Deserts again were fabulous. So all in all we had a wonderful evening at this unpretentious, friendly and inexpensive restaurant.

An independent cafe run by a lovely couple with great staff. Open from 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am-11pm Friday & Saturday, you can start the day with a variety of tasty breakfast options or drop in later for brunch, lunch, snacks, or supper on Friday/Saturday night (handy for the Picture House Cinema or Theatre close by).

There are about half a dozen tables upstairs, a couple of tables outside on the pedestrianised Abbeygate Street (great for watching the world go by) or for a tucked away experience there is seating downstairs in the lower ground floor.

Superb quality ingredients is the thing that stands out at this cafe. Delicious cakes and pastries, tasty fresh salads and soups, varied paninis and quiches during the day with more substantial dishes or the meze sharing options for the evening. Oh, and did I mention the great coffee..?

A gem of a place that I'd thoroughly recommend.
