You are welcomed by Christine and Michael into their pretty house surrounded by their really lovely garden and you are immediately made to feel welcome. The rooms, and I think I've been in all of them over the last few years, are delightful, comfortable and spotless, I sleep with my window open - the countryside as quiet as quiet can be. It really is a great place for a good night's sleep. I'm a small breakfast eater, but am really tempted by their extensive menu, their eggs from their own chickens. Before I go on my way I love to walk round their garden, see the fish in their lily-covered pool, and from the ha-ha enjoy the view over miles of empty countryside. It is a beautiful spot to be.

Dear Fiona you are one of our special guests we are always so pleased when we see you are coming to us again.
I believe you have been in most rooms but maybe not the Red Room, you would like that one I expect, so we will see what can be done.
Christine would tell you that I always go round the lawn edges when you are coming and make sure they are cut and straight, it is one of the things in a garden that I think really sets it off and I know you feel the same way - so I have to check.
Thank you so much for writing your review and we look forward to your next visit.

Best wishes

Michael and Christine

Christine and Michael are the most friendly people you could wish to meet. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We have visited here three times now and have never been disappointed. The rooms are first class and the breakfasts are second to none with a good choice to choose from. Christine's scones and cream are delicious. We can't wait to return.

We in our turn can't wait for your return we really enjoy having you here. I suppose it is noticeable that we enjoy most of our guests company and this is indeed the case, we enjoy what we do. We will make sure the scones are ready for you, Christine is just getting into this years fruits from the garden with strawberries from the polytunnel making a very nice jam indeed.
Many thanks for taking the trouble to review us and see you again before too long I hope.

We chose a place in the middle of East Anglia for our first visit to this region and we were so lucky. Close to every goal of our trip, fresh air and a very welcoming atmosphere. An abundant breakfast, individual rooms and fresh milk in a thermos on the tea tray every day. What more could we wish for?

Room Tip: Every room is nice and quiet.

We are lucky to be in the middle of East Anglia where, as you found, one is able to reach all areas comfortably on a day trip from which you can return to your home from home.
I know we certainly felt you were 'at home' with us, we do hope you will make a further visit to East Anglia and stay with us again. Having you here was like having family to stay.
Many thanks for reviewing us.

Lovely home and garden, we stayed in the red room which opened onto a patio, nice to sit out there to catch the evening sun. Breakfast surpassed expectations, nothing was too much trouble for Michael and Christine, who also have much knowledge about the area and recommended a great pub for evening meals. We heartily recommend and are sure you will enjoy your stay.

Hi and thank you for taking the time to review us. It was good to have you stay with us and it is always a pleasure for us to receive reviews where our guests have felt comfortable and enjoyed their stay with us. Of course it is not us and Drinkstone alone that gives a satisfactory trip but the local pubs for food, as you mention, and the easy reach of all parts of East Anglia from here.
Thank you again and we do hope you will choose to visit us again soon.

Thank you! I believe you hit it correctly, well we did actually, for you to feel that you had the comforts but also the personal touch is music to our ears.
Pleased also that you enjoyed your breakfast selection so much. It does help to have a good start to the day.
Recommendations are the heart of most business's of course and we are glad you are keen to recommend us.

I had a brilliant stay back in March 2014 for 3 nights. The hosts were both lovely and had a gorgeous puppy!! The breakfasts were delicious and I sampled most of the menu during my stay! Not only that but nothing was an effort, I was even offered use of the study to complete work whilst I was there. The room had a lovely view out over the gardens, the bathroom was lovely with a nice big bath and complimentary toiletries. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept really well. Absolutely couldn't fault it and if I'm in the area will definitely stay again.

Hi Charlotte, lovely to see your review many thanks for doing that it does help people get an idea of what they may be letting themselves in for if they come and stay!
The puppy has grown incredibly since March, she is still extremely friendly and wants to go and greet everyone although of course that only happens if people are happy with it.
We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay and do hope to see you again if in our area.

Michael & Christine

PS we will get some new things on the menu for you to try, current favourite is strawberries from the garden with pancakes drizzled with our honey or rose hip syrup.
