“Worth a visit on Wednesday or Saturday”

The market in Bury St Edmunds is a lively affair and in the centre of the town. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area as is Bury itself - in particular the abbey Gardens which can be absolutely lovely.

“One of the best outside of London!”
Reviewed 31 July 2013

Many stalls selling everything from authentic feta and olives to flowers, fresh roasted coffee, tons of local farm grown veg, fishmongers and more! I would go every Saturday and Wednesday. Be sure to visit the friendly people at Paul's fish box and the stahl with organic grown lettuces and herbs!

“A little bit of everything”
Reviewed 11 October 2012

The Bury Market, located in the historic town center, is a bustling market experience for visitors. It is held Wednesdays and Saturdays. The same vendors seem to be at each with a few additions and subtractions at each. I love collecting my fruits and veg for the week every Saturday. Other deals are available from housewares, clothing, purses, pet supplies, hardware and gifts. You'll find meat, fish, pasta and bread in addition to the many produce vendors. This place gets busy so be prepared and watch out for grannies with trolleys and old folks on scooters. Parking is accessible on the south side of the Arc. I opt for the multi-level parking garage but it is all the same price. I would avoid the northern parking lots as they fill up fast and are more difficult to access.

“Traditional feel”
Reviewed 2 September 2012

The market is open air and runs the distance of the main shooping street. It has a good mix of stalls with quality fruit and veg. as well as clothing, plants, housewares and so on. It is always busy and gives the town a different atmosphere on Saturdays and Wednesdays. You could spend an hour browsing when you visit the town.
