“Lovely B&B in the country”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 February 2014

We stayed for one night at the Box Bush Cottage B&B and had a pleasant stay. The interior was lovely, including the bedrooms, doors and the fantastic breakfast room, very country kitchen. The location was peaceful and the owners were very helpful and nice to have a chat with. The breakfast was excellent and the little things in the room, such as hot chocolate and biscuits (were these home made?), the feather duvet and the quality toiletries were much appreciated.

The reason i have only marked it a 4/5 is that the bed was a little small for the two of us, my feet pushed against footboard and the shower cubicle was very cramped (maybe that's just me!).

Just arrived home, from a weeks stay at box bush cottage. We found the cottage spotlessly clean and very well equipped, everything you need in a home from home. The gardens were beautiful. The swimming pool was lovely and clean and warm. The climbling frame and trampoline was a great hit. We had great fun feeding the goats and watching them chase the chickens. Nick and Claire the owners leave you to your own devices, but made you feel extremely welcome. Would definately return and would recommend to friends and family.

We came with our two boys (12 & 9) and had the most relaxing weeks break at the cottage. We arrived to a spotlessly clean, beautiful little cottage. It was well equipped, beautifully styled and very homely and comfortable. The gardens are so pretty and the pool was a massive hit with the kids!
The location is brilliant. With something for everyone. We were sad to leave and have fallen in love with Suffolk. I hope the owners Clair and Nick are extremely proud of their achievements. It has clearly been a labour of love and must be very hard work to keep everything so beautiful. Xx thank you!

We had a brief overnight here after our day at Latitude. The room was delightfully pretty, bed comfortable and the bathroom stylishly equipped. Breakfast was delicious - fresh fruit, yoghurt and cooked for me, cereal, fruit and cooked for my husband. All made in the kitchen right next to the dining table. Very friendly hosts. Couldn't have been better. We were sorry we weren't staying longer.

We were visiting Suffolk for our grand daughter's Christening. A real occasion for our large family, we wanted to stay locally the previous night to avoid an early start. Our wonderful weekend started as soon as we arrived at Box Bush with Clare's warm welcome. We unpacked in our well equipped and very comfortable pretty pine furnished bedroom with fully stocked en suite. We accepted Clare's invitation to her spacious farmhouse kitchen and enjoyed her delicious home made courgette and carrot cake with tea. We then enjoyed a tour of the spacious grounds including the hen house, met the new bantams and said hello to the goats. Later we enjoyed an excellent meal at Clare's recommended local restaurant the Queens Head in a neighbouring village. After a great nights sleep in fine linen and comfortable bed, we both enjoyed a very fine breakfast of locally sourced ingredients cooked by Nick. Box Bush is a very fine B & B reflecting Clare and Nick's attention to design and detail, excellent value and full of contemporary rustic charm.

What a little gem….stayed for 3 nights on business, great attention to detail in the room; very white soft fluffy towels, beautiful bed linen and lovely toiletries. The breakfast is excellent top quality produce and a lovely table (linen napkins). The location is stunning well maintained gardens and great views. Clare and Nick are very friendly hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. An added bonus is the gym and steam rooms…..loved it thank you for a perfect stay

I spent one night here whilst working in Bury St Edmunds. It is GREAT. Fantastic value for money. This is high-end B&Bing at mid-range prices. The detail was all - lots of great toiletries in the shower room, lovely napkin-lined baskets containing your thick-cut toast at breakfast. That meal was a treat - a really good fresh fruit salad, muesli, greek yoghurt, milled flaxseed and an egg 'fried' (using no oil) on the aga. And apparently I ate far less than most!
I didn't see the rental cottage, grounds or the indoor pool and gym but I imagine they would make it a fantastic place to stay with kids.
It feels like they've thought about everything a guest could want, and provided it. It is only a 15 minute drive to Bury. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it whole-heartedly.
