Located close to the town centre and with good parking and café facilities, much has been done in the last couple of years to improve the various park walks. Visit whist the daffodils are out to see it at its best

Within easy striking distance of Bury St Edmunds centre, this is a 200 acre green park with easy walking. Walks are clearly marked, from half and hour to the full circular one of about an hour and a half with a leisurely stroll. A ongoing planted arboretum, maze and little forays into adjacent woodlands makes the experience varied. There are no hills or deep valleys and loads of opportunities for children to gain knowledge of the area and the wildlife and fauna within. There's also an inexpensive, very clean but basic cafe beside the good value car park.

I often come here with my family and friends for picnics, walks runs and generally having a nice time.
There are often events like race for life or other fairs on they only drawback is they introduced parking charges but there is a new cafe and site lodge and they have reinvested in the play area and toilets!

Been camping in the area many times but kept driving past, decided this time to go and have a look.
What a delight walked all around the the signposted walking route and there was loads to take in, very scenic. Went back the next day with our bikes and followed the cycling route which leads you through woodland paths.
A must to visit if you are in the area.
