My other half and I stayed at Crown Place in August 2013 for a long weekend. The B&B is close to the town centre, which was important to us as we were travelling by train so we didn't have a car with us. We chose the Courtyard room based on reviews about noise levels. It was clean, light and airy. The view was OK - it looked over the courtyard but also had the Greene King yard in the background but it was quiet! The bed was comfortable, the shower and bath were good. We were allowed to come and go as we pleased, which was nice.
Wendy was lovely and made us some very nice breakfasts - full english one day, bacon and mushroom sandwich the next - nothing was too much trouble.
The wi-fi was down for the duration of our stay which was a shame because my 3g signal is not the best but it was actually quite nice to have a break from being easily connected anyway. A fault with BT rather than the B&B!More
