Description: Our main focus is on traditional cask ales. We have 8 hand pumps dedicated to cask ale with an ever changing range of beers from interesting local and national brewers. Our beer count shows everything we've stocked so far and we added our very own Brewshed beers to the range in 2011.Although ale is our main focus, we do offer a small range of quality draft lagers and a draft stout. We also have 3 hand pumps exclusively for cask ciders. Our cider count shows what we've stocked so far. You'll also find a handful of good wines by the glass and over 20 whiskies. If you're looking for something to eat, we offer a selection of simple but tasty bar snacks such as deep fried whitebait and crispy fried brawn with piccalilli.

“A Real Ale utopia”
Reviewed 24 June 2013

Arguably the best pub in BSE (just pipping The Dove), the Beerhouse is a cracking venue with excellent staff serving 1st class ale.

There is always a good selection of real ale and ciders on offer in a friendly lively 'traditional' English Pub environment, and the beer festivals are always worth a visit.

This place, along with The Dove & Queens Head, represents everything that should be celebrated and supported in the good old English Public House.

“Best Pub in Bury St. Edmunds”
Reviewed 13 October 2012

Taking over for a habitually closed business and turning it into the best pub in town is no easy feat. The Bury Beerhouse has done this and more by perfecting the art of the relaxed pub atmosphere. Not the biggest inside area of the Bury pubs, this pub makes up for it with class, an unrivaled beer selection and a spacious beer garden. The Brewshed beers, brewed onsite are second to none in terms of craft beer and the fact that there are always new beers arriving makes each visit a potential for discovery. This pub is the standard which other pubs should aspire to.
