“Great place for lunch”
Reviewed 1 January 2014 via mobile

Went in for lunch - good food, great coffee, fantastic cake. While the menu may be limited we didn't have any difficulty choosing what we would like. Would definitely go back for evening meal which we believe is available from Wednesday to Saturday.

“Good Find”
Reviewed 28 December 2013

Delicious, simple sandwich - perfect pit stop!. The lights and decoration were great attention to detail!. I am a veggie and can see that there is plenty on the menu for indulgers! Good spirit, good selection of teas. Friendly staff.

Rustic. Charming and great food.
Have enjoyed both the Tapas and a light fish lunch and look forward to evening dining to experience the full effect of the lights.

“Good lunch stop”
Reviewed 10 December 2013

Four of us had a very enjoyable lunch here - meatballs with pasta, seafood pasta and a lovely creamy soup, followed by some delicious apple and lemon cakes. Very reasonable value for money given the generous portions and simple, pleasant surroundings with good service. We'll definitely come for dinner to try out their tapas menu.

“Excellent food”
Reviewed 2 December 2013

I've had lunch and dinner at the Café Del Mar in BSE and can report that the food is excellent. The place has more of a café/bistro feel about than a restaurant, which is probably what the owners are aiming for, and it works really well. The décor is simple and very "rustic" and the owners appear to have decided that the main aim of any "eatery" is to provide excellent food at a reasonable price, which from my two visits, they have definitely achieved.
