We normally have a day out in Bury St Edmunds once a month and also have Fish & Chips must say used the Golden Chip on St Johns Street last few times since its been reopened and definitely the best fish & chips in Bury.
Give them a try you definitely won't be dissapointed.

We visited the The Golden chip in Bury St Edmunds having heard from our friends that it had reopened and was serving fantastic fish and chips. We weren't disappointed!! Fantastic freshly cooked fish and lovely crisp chips! (generous sized portions too). Our son had one of their home made fish cakes and it was delicious - certainly the best we've ever had. Excellent service and very good value for money. Highly recommended!!

After being closed for over 2 years it is great to have the Golden Chip back on the plot.

Great value, perfectly cooked chish and fips, wonderful homemade fish cakes (the thai variety are well worth a try) and they even do 'scraps'..... and everything fried the way it should be...... in good old fashioned beef dripping.

Treat yourself. ... you know you want to!
