we chose Maison Bleue for valentines day. they had a set menu for the night at £45 per head. the service was good and efficient. we were never left alone for too long but it was not overbearing, the staff are all very polite and helpful.

the scallops for starter were good but i prefer mine seasoned a little more. the venison for main was perfect, served rare and accompanied by really well cooked veg and i think gnocchi. for dessert the cooked apple with salted caramel was very nice. the cheese board was sensational, some very nice blue cheeses ended a great meal.

Maison Bleue is probably the best restaurant in Bury and one of the best in the area.

my husband and I were at Maison Bleue last week to celebrate his special Birthday, we were very impressed with the food and service. we loved all our courses the fillet steak was cooked to perfection and the halibut was to die for. Cant wait to visit again. The resaurant tables were covered in crisp white linen tablecloths with matching white linen napkins the glasses on the table sparkled, all the things we look for when it comes to fine dining. We will definately tell our freinds to visit.

We popped in for lunch before the theatre. A glass of Kir to start, whilst we looked at the menu. We both had starters, the best was the chicken liver pate, then I had pork and Tom had rabbit. Superb! Not huge platefuls but ample and wonderfully presented. We enjoyed a bottle of red wine, I was hesitating between a choice of two reds, but the waiter helped me with regard to what was best with the food we had chosen. I finished with the best crème brulee I've had in a long time.
An extensive and exciting menu. A great atmosphere. Wonderful service. Wine selection beyond your wildest dreams.
Not the cheapest place to eat, but value for excellent quality. Will definitely go again. The others in our theatre trip party were jealous. Next time we will book in advance.

We wanted somewhere local-ish and special to have a belated office Christmas lunch and I found Maison Bleue on aTrip Advisor trawl. It's a well kept secret this place...we loved it and will tell all our friends to visit. We ordered, 48 hrs in advance, the plateau de fruits de mer for 2, between 4 of us. A huge pile of lobster, prawns, languestines and oysters. Homemade mayo and excellent bread. A real treat. The cheese board was fantastic too. Excellent. Go.
