Were looking for decent food for a family in Lavenham and this fitted the bill perfectly! Decor of the pub is a little old fashioned, but not the biggest issue. Very large menu meaning everyone is catered (but also indicates a good amount of re-heating food rather than freshly cooked food). Two ales on tap, both very tasty.
Very good sized portions as well.
The biggest bonus was, however, that it was incredibly family friendly. We went with our two year old daughter and there were stickle bricks and bead mazes for her to play with. Outdoor area not massive, but contained, meaning she could also run around outside without any fear of running into a carpark or road.
Was a fair wait for food and it was fairly massively busy, but was mid-week so would assume that they would have more people in the kitchen at the weekend?
Very friendly person behind the bar (assuming she was the owner?) and she was very helpful with our daughter as well.
Would definitely recommend and go again if we were in the area!
