“Beautiful building!”
Reviewed 14 May 2013

What an absolute delight. Not always open so check the Lavenham website - or contact the Tourist Information Office in the town - but a gem of a building.

“What a gem!”
Reviewed 17 October 2012

We decided that, as we had been to the Guildhall in York, we would visit the Little Hall instead on our visit to lovely Lavenham. This is manned by pleasant and helpful volunteers and there is a small charge. The story of the restoration is amazing. You are left to go around at your own pace with hand-held boards in all the rooms to assist in identifying the fascinating collection of objects. The garden is very pleasant too. Well worth a visit.

“Historic house”
Reviewed 28 September 2012

Just a stones throw from Lavenham Guildhall. Small charge to go in and run by volunteers. Built in the 1390's for the Causton family and restored by twin brothers a Major and a Colonel, R.G and T. G Gayer-Anderson in 1924. It was their home and many of their personal things are on display. Beautiful historic house and well worth a visit.
