Visited with friends and family on a busy Friday night. The restaurant was packed with other parties and groups too. Service was prompt and friendly and clearly Cafe Masala scores very highly with regulars as the owner/manager knew a lot of people by name. Great Kingfisher although some had Mongoose and wine was reasonably priced. As for the food we ate a lot mixture - of Jalfrezis, Naga curries (apparently a house speciality) and a great deal more. Highlights by far were the Cauliflower Bhaji and the Tandori chicken. Shape of the restaurant means it never felt crowded and the sparkling white cloths on the table not only help set the scene they help absorb the noise as well as the spills. The best curry house in Melford by a mile, if not Suffolk! Just wish it was on my doorstep!

Popped in for a quick lunch and it was absolutely fine. Staff were attentive and meal was ordered and delivered to the table within fifteen minutes or so. Food was well-flavored with good quality chicken and also reasonably priced.

Got off to a great start as we were offered drinks and popadom swiftly. Service went downhill from there on on - we had to ask for our order to be taken and then had to wait 90 minutes for it to be Served. But when it came the food was delicious. The waitresses were also very friendly.

9 of us ate here recently, the food was delicious, so well cooked and presented and a nice range of dishes, we all tried something new. The chicken Mathia was gorgeous (cooked with paneer cheese yum!)
The only let down was the guy serving us was so heavy handed, plates were "plonked" on table, empties were snatched off table and he seemed to be a little distracted, other than that though its a lovely clean restaraunt with delicious food.

Food is normally very nice, good restaurant. My wife and I dined here and both ordered vegetable dishes, and were both really disappointed to find frozen vegetables used in the dishes. Everything else was nice, bhinde bhaji was lovely, but can't get away from the frozen veg.... It's not like the veg dishes are much cheaper. Other Indians near by do much nicer vegetable curries.
