My 2 adult daughters and I stayed here for a short break. The staff could not have been more helpful; they booked us adjoining rooms with connecting doors. The facilities were perfect, lovely pool and steam/jacuzzi/sauna, Our rooms were spacious and everything was really clean and the beds were super comfortable. We could even see racehorses from our rooms! We ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely. although it was a rather chilly dining room. However this did not stop us having a lovely time. I would certainly go there again.

Just stayed here overnight for a conference; and was really impressed - friendly staff, nice clean room, and a good restaurant too. A decent breakfast was also part of my package.

(A gripe: Yes...why, oh why do hotels all seem to want to play mindless, poor quality, pop muzak in the bars / restaurants? Do people actually want this stuff assaulting their ears? Personally, I'd pay more just for the privilege of some peace and quiet, but if you've really, really, got to fill the calm void with piped music, how about a bit of piano, classy jazz, or something else restful?)

The staff are the greatest asset at this hotel. Very friendly from housekeeping to restaurant and all want to please. We stayed during "Guineas" weekend and the place was packed, but staff remained unflustered and helpful.
We had dinner in the restaurant. Food was attractive and tasty and served at a good pace - not too fast, but you never felt you were waiting too long. We had coffee and drinks in the bar afterwards, which, although full, had a friendly atmosphere and service was prompt.
We stayed in one of the hotel's standard rooms. It was clean and comfortable. There was very little natural light however , as the window, overlooking the stables, was tiny. Having said that, it didn't really matter, we spent most of our waking time in the public areas of the hotel anyway.
The bed was comfortable and, thanks to an unobtrusive air-conditioning unit, we had a comfortable night's sleep in a cool room.
Breakfast next morning was served promptly and was piping hot.
In short - what's not to like?

Room Tip: If you like horses - ask for a view of the stables.

You will not be disappointed, this hotel really is fantastic!

We were booked to stay in a standard room but because this had disabled access which was required for another guest, we were upgraded to a suite at no additional charge. The room was amazing!!! We had a seperately living room and every room was really spacious. The bathroom included large complimentary Moulton Brown products which I love so that was an added bonus! The bed was so comfortable and I had a lovely night's sleep. The entrance to the part of the hotel were the suites are located is also has a security door.

We stayed when it was the July Festival at Newmarket races and a porter was waiting in reception to take guests to their taxis covering them with an umbrella as it was raining!

Very helpful friendly staff and good food.

Lots of parking and only a couple of minutes from Newmarket town centre so an ideal location.

Will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Suites are fantastic and well worth the money

For our 10th wedding anniversary my husband booked us into Bedford Lodge. We had a fabulous time. The food and service were excellent.

We stayed the weekend of 31 March and although there was a wedding were not affected at all.

Our room was lovely and looked out on to stables with a great view of the horses.

We wouldn't hesitate to return.

My husband states its the best nigh's sleep ever at a hotel. Piece and Quite, confortable beds and good curtains (to darken the room). First time we had stoped here but definetly will be a base for us when visiting this area again. Excellent breakfast. Really enjoyed the lesiure facilities, which was an added bonus, worth paying a little but more for your room for these extra's to be included.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the stables next door. Great to look out onto the race horses, did not he...
