Our first night away with our baby couldn't have been made more enjoyable. From the friendly and skilled masseuses, to the ever-accommodating hotel team, we were treated better than anywhere else I've stayed, and I've travelled A LOT!!! The cherry on the cake for us was the beautiful 3-course dinner, served impeccably, full of rich flavours and modern twists, the main twist being we remained sat in bed trying to get our baby off to sleep!!!! After she eventually settled, after a good night's rest, we even had time for her first swim in the morning, in the equally impressive and well-run health club.

Cannot recommend highly enough.

Stayed for 2 nights in June when the weather was glorious. Breakfast included in the price but had two evening meals in the hotel. Both were of good quality and must say can't fault them, reasonable price for this type of hotel. Breakfast excellent. spa on two evenings only a couple of people in the pool, pool quite warm and had relaxing swim and jacuzzi, changing facilities etc., were ok

Staff were all lovely and are obviously trained a well worth investment.

Went into Ely for the day nice little cathedral city with a reasonable shopping centre which had a market on the day we went. Unfortunately could not say the same for Newmarket which is surprisingly quite rundown.

Overall would recommend this hotel for accommodation and location.

I booked a mid week night away for a bit of a treat for two of us and decided to upgrade to one of the executive suites and we were not disappointed. We were given a suite with a private roof terrace too! The room was huge, the attention to detail was spot on, plenty of complimentary food and toiletries, Sky TV, massive bathroom with big walk in shower and separate bath tub, amazing bed and towels, really couldn't fault the room. We even got a call from housekeeping asking if we needed any extra toiletries or snacks! The used the spa which was pretty decent too. We'd definitely treat ourselves again!

This is a lovely Hotel in Newmarket. Very pretty grounds, easy to access, good parking and the place looks well maintained and appointed. Very friendly and welcoming reception. ( could do with a little more efficiency on check out ) . Very friendly and efficient staff at the bar. Nice room bright , clean modern. Very comfortable bed, had a great night’s undisturbed sleep. Left early am and had to skip breakfast unfortunately so cannot comment on that. . Would definitely recommend this Hotel if in this area.

Room Tip: Ground floor at the back

We set off in glorious sunshine, for Newmarket and the Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa.
On arrival in Newmarket, we saw the racehorses crossing in front of us to go to the gallops – what an impressive sight! We arrived at the hotel, and were most impressed at the building and beautiful grounds and setting.
We were greeted by the most helpful and polite staff who offered to get our room ready earlier than the check in time if we wished, but we decided to make our way over to the spa.
Walking through beautiful Grecian style lavender lined arbours; we approached the spa, and entered to find the most calm and relaxing interior we had ever seen. We were greeted by very professional and calm staff, who offered us drinks and complimentary lavender macaroons before giving us a guided tour of the spa and facilities. We were provided with lockers, luxurious robes, slippers and as many towels as you required and there was ice water on tap through the spa.
After changing, we took advantage of the hydrotherapy pool with Jacuzzi, massage seats and waterfalls, and then had lunch on a secluded terrace overlooking a lawned area complete with sparkling water fountain. The lunch menu was extensive and we chose wraps, one with crayfish and mango and one with poached chicken, salad and guacamole. A variety of vegetarian options was available, along with iced drinks, teas, topped off with a warm lavender and chocolate brownie.
After lunch we made our way to the rooftop Jacuzzi, where we found enormous sun beds, swinging egg chairs and total tranquillity as, like the day so far we hardly encountered anyone! We chillaxed in the bubbling waters, under a cloudless sky and then dried off on the sunbeds to await our treatments.
We were introduced to our therapists, who explained the treatments and gave us a choice of oils and products to be used. We were then subjected to two hours of unrelenting BLISS!! Treatments consisted of: full body massage and a rejuvenating facial. This was followed by drinks on the terrace then showers with luxury products and full use of hair dryer, straightners, costume drying machine & beautiful body lotions.
We floated back across the manicured lawns to the hotel, greeted and checked in by the same gracious staff we had met on our arrival, and prepared ourselves for the dinner included in the package. We made the very short walk from our room to the restaurant, to be greeted by more professional and charming staff. We started off with warm bread and a cheeky little Chilean Sauvignon Blanc, then deciding to skip starters, we went for Norfolk Spring lamb on a bed of risotto garnished with flava beans and peashoots and hand cut rustic chips. The dessert was the piece de resistance – banana and coconut millefeuille with a caramel crunch ice cream!!
After coffee in the lounge we requested an extension lead for the fan (although air conditioning was available) and additional pillows which were delivered almost immediately, we then retired and slept soundly.
Awakening and preparing to partake of a leisurely breakfast - we arrived in the dining room again greeted by such friendly and helpful staff and offered a choice of continental or full English breakfast or both, we plumped for a full English, with freshly squeezed orange juice (A myriad of other juices were available) and plenty of hot buttered toast, (Maggie had the butter) also fresh tea and coffee were served.
After breakfast, we reluctantly returned to our room and prepared to check out planning, weather permitting, a short detour into Newmarket itself, but unfortunately, Mother Nature conspired against us and the heavens’ opened and we decided to make for home.

I stayed with a friend post Xmas on a special deal. The rooms was of a good standard, functional and clean, but I wouldn't say it was anything special. We had an evening meal, which was very tasty and I really liked the restaurant atmosphere. Only criticism was we had booked a twin room, and were given a double, but this was soon rectified. We also had to really query the bill, there were quite a few mistakes, luckily we had kept a record of everything so it was easily rectified. Overall it was a good stay, but I am glad we were on a deal, I would say it would have been overpriced if we had paid the published rates. That said it is a nice hotel, so I would go again :-)

If you love horses, this Hotel is the one to book if you are in Newmarket. I sat in my room watching the racehorses in their stables!
The Staff were, without exception, excellent. Overall, the hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere and delivers on every level.
