We have stayed at many Premier Inns in the past but this one really does outshine all of the others in every department other than the vehicle parking. Why oh why cannot the council and the hotel management come to some sensible arrangement regarding this ?

We stopped here for 3 nights. It was close to The Racecourse and as we know Premier Inns are Clean, Comfortable and Quiet,! Whoops did I say quiet!
.
We booked months in advance to take advantage of the 29 pound deals .
We were placed in a room at the end of a corridor which the receptionist assured us it was a quiet room..
Unfortunately when we opened the curtains we looked out onto a flat roof with quite a few air conditioning units,Nice! We quickly closed the curtains and put all the lights on.
The hum from the units during the night and early hours of the morning accompanied by what sounded like a lift banging and clattering ,didnt do much for a good nights sleep
The following day we were relocated to another room which we were pleased with.
Would suggest that Premier Inn chnged these rooms from bedrooms into utility rooms or do something about the soundproofing of the air conditioning units.

We were aware of the parking problems and when we arrived we drove down the side of the hotel and there was a parking and loading bay with room for four cars or so with what looked a disabled lift leading into the hotel at the side. A Dome secuirity camera was present and covered this area. There were.No Yellow Lines present or prohibited parking signs on show.
So we were able to park and take our suitcases a short distance to the entrance. We then decided to take the car to the short stay car park which was free up to 8am, After 8am you then had to buy a ticket or move. A Suggestion would be that maybe you could pay premier a parking fee per day on top of your booking fee and have an allocated area to park in.

A few minutes walk away are quite a few Pubs with real ales and Restaurants with a variety of different cuisines to choose from Turkish, Italian, Indian Thai etc.

A Table Table Restaurant was available on site and we decided to eat there on the first night,The starter arrived quickly biut the main course took ages to arriive so we asked how much longer we would have to wait, The main course then arrived about 15 mins later.
We had no problems at all on the second and third nights however so it just goes to show you cant really judge just on one visit..

All in all we had a good stay as all the staff in the Hotel and the Restaurant were friendly and cheerful and next time we come down to the Races we will stay here again,

Very new and clean. Very good size rooms. Close to town centre.
Only downside at all is that there is no parking but you can park on neighbouring streets for free.

We stayed here for 2 nights as we were going to Newmarket Races the next day. Very conveniently situated, right by the High Street where all the restaurants and pubs are. Staff were very good, service excellent and the full breakfasts were of their usual high standard with a huge choice. Staff ordered our taxi's to the races, taxi's right outside the races to bring us back but with comfy shoes you could have walked from the Rowley Mile Course. Rooms pristine and very quiet - perfect!

We booked our trip to Newmarket pretty last minute, and most other hotels in the area were already booked up. So for the money - we paid around £85 for a triple room - we thought it was worth giving it a go.

The hotel is situated at the top of the main high street. It was easy to find, however it doesn't offer any parking and the main entrance is on a very busy street corner where you can't park. We were about to park at a public short stay car park just across the street (maxiumum stay 3 hours for about £2 until 4pm when it's no maximum and free), when we were helped by a couple of fellow residents who directed us to one of the few free spaces at the side of the hotel. Well worth driving round to see if one is availible.

The main hotel entrance is up several steep steps - not great if you have loads of luggage! You can also enter through the pub (table table) just around the corner which would avoid the stairs, but not avoid traipsing through a busy bar/restaurant with all of your belongings.

Our check in was trouble free and the reception desk was fully manned with friendly and helpful staff. Check in is usually 2pm, we arrived at 12:30 but the receptionist did a bit of re-jigging and found us a room that was available. We were on the 4th floor (they have a lift) and our room was comfortable, immaculately clean and had everything we needed.

The hotel has only been open for a few months, so everything is brand new and spotless. It's in a great location, and lots of pubs, restaurants and shops are on it's doorstep.

Breakfast at the hotel is £7.99, but we decided we would go for a walk to one of the local pubs instead. Quite a few in the immediate vicinity offer full english breakfast ranging from £2.95 to about £5 so a cheaper option and better value in my opinion.

All in all we were more than pleasantly surprised with the hotel. We were looking for a 4 or 5* with a spa and wouldn't ordinarily have booked this one. But we will definitely go back to this hotel when we return to Newmarket. Location, cleanliness, good service and value for money put it at the winning post!

Room Tip: A triple room for 2 people gives you extra space and a sofa

Checked into this hotel with some friends, we were going to one of the newmarket concerts.
The reception team were fantastic and very effecient even with the chaos of everyone man and there dog trying to check in at the same time and get directions to a car park.
They had even commented on our way out with friends how lovely we looked which we all though was a great compliment!
The rooms were great and as you would expect from a premier inn, and i have stayed at many around the country.
Breakfast service the following morning was a little slow and the team seemed to have not been in control of the situation, but again this was very busy at breakfast time.
Would reccommend this hotel if you are going to the races in Newarket the only down side having to get up in the morning to put money in the car metre.
