“Conference evening”
Reviewed 26 March 2013

We have a conference evening for up to 30 delegates at the Rosery every three months. Food is great, menu changes regularly, room always set exactly up to our (variable) specifications hours before the course is due to start. The staff are really lovely, always smiling, we stay until late without any problems and they help us pack all our stuff away at the end. Some of the delegates enjoy this hotel so much that they also use it for their own business meetings.

Stayed here on our way to the Suffolk Coast. 5 minutes from the A14 and Newmarket it's easy to find, clean and comfortable and a bargain at £60.00 B&B on Laterooms.

We had a Garden room, ideal for a disabled traveller as it's fully equipped and all on one level. Nice breakfast, good service and quiet. It's not going to rival a 5-star country but for a short stop in the area it's ideal.

I have stayed at the Rosery a few times, all the rooms are warm and large and the beds are so comfortable.
The staff are always helpful and friendly and the food is good. Whenever I stay at Newmarket I stay here

Room Tip: Go for the four poster although all the rooms are lovely

Good parking, easy to find, pictures do look very different on the website than what it actually looks like. Looks like its set in grounds but is actually on a main road. Looks far more modern in photos than actually is. Lovely bed, very comfy, brilliant sofa in the room. Nice TV, and free wi-fi was a bonus. nice towels, clean room and bathroom. Big party going on downstairs but couldnt hear anything in the room. Lots of hot water. The furniture/curtains/wallpaper/carpet was all very outdated and could really do with a re-vamp. Breakfast was very nice and very friendly waiter. Good nights sleep and all very pleasant.

Nice room (disabled access) and good breakfast. Evening meal ok, but standard of service could have been significantly improved as young waiter and waitress appeared disinterested. Main waiter was helpful and polite when he could be found.
Overall would stay again but would not be first choice.

Nice garden room with disabled facilities , there was a step into the room which made it impossible to get out without help ?? uite a steep ramp down to the restaurant but just and I mean just managable. Other than this large bathroom and bed at a decent height. Restaurant very good but as I had two sets of guests decided because of the wheelchair to have two set meals in the bar area, with two different sets of guest at different times, which was very nice until a lady who can only be described as very unusual who was serving took umbrage as she had for some reason only known to her decided it was not allowed to have a plate of soup in the bar area, even though it was available on the bar menu ??????? and asked a guest to go through to the restaurant to have his soup. How odd is this ???

This is our second year at the Rosery hotel, we came for the races and stopped three nights . Tony and his staff could not of been more friendly. The room was fantastic very comfortable clean and spacious,as I don't eat red meat i had a choice on what I had for breakfast and it was very plentiful, nothing was too much trouble for the staff . We have stopped in many hotels all around London but none of them compare to the Rosery for the service. It is a lovely village, the bus route into Newmarket is not very regular but the taxi service is excellent , we will be returning for the Newmarket races in 2013, TONY KEEP US A ROOM! Thank you all so much, We would defiantly recommend this hotel see you next year Irene and Derek

Room Tip: The garden rooms are fantastic
