Me and family came in for a coffee yesterday whilst waiting for our train as it was freezing outside. We walked in and were told "we're closing in 5 minutes so you can only order drinks" in an abrupt manner. There were 3 girls working, which seemed very overstaffed given the few customers, and for the most part they were standing around doing nothing. When we were asked for our order, one of the staff members said "what do you want?", which again seemed abrupt and rude, and she clearly didn't appreciate our custom at all. We ordered coffees, and although they were closing in 5 minutes, we were given them in mugs. Paper cups would have been more appropriate, so we didn't feel so rushed! The staff were doing closing duties and any customers that walked were told that they were closed. HOWEVER, when one of the staff's family came in, they were allowed in and were served drinks! Then, all 3 members of staff disappeared leaving the cafe unmanned, despite us still being in there. The staff then returned and began sorting tips - very unprofessional in front of customers! When we quickly drank our coffees, we weren't even thanked as we left (despite all other customers who had left before us had been).
It seemed as though the business was being run by a few irresponsible teenagers, who seemed annoyed at our presence, and as if it was a chore to serve us! I won't be returning and neither will my family.

We had eaten meals at the attached cafe on many occasions and were delighted an opportunity to try out the B & B came about. We had the four poster room which has great views over the River Deben, including the Tide Mill. The room was spacious and clean with a heater in the bathroom which was welcomed as the weather got a bit chilly during our stay. Our room also overlooked the working railway station, but we can honestly say the trains were barely noticable, the last one is around 22.30, and the earliest 06.40 so no disturbance out of hours so to speak. The breakfast was served in the lovely Whistlestop cafe, and was hearty and delicious. Duty manager Carla was welcoming and helpful and a minor out of hours problem was dealt with politely and efficiently. We had a smashing stay and would recommend it without hesitation.

Room Tip: We loved our room, number 5, overlooking the river.

Staid a long weekend , 4 nights, end june

+ perfect location , right in/ next to the train station

+ view onto train station and the harbour quay, last train goes.around 10 pm, first around 6 am - and absolutely quiet in between ! ( apart from some seagulls.and the clanking of ship masts) - the trains were no problem at all

+ walking distance to quay and harbour, "downtown" Woodbridge with shops, cafes and Restaurants, supermarket and bus stops
    + clean, price okay
+ staff is nice and helful
+ Cafe on groundfloor, they also serve breakfast

    - after a few nights my back hurt from the springs in the mattress
    - a healthy breakfast (fruit, joghurt) is not really available ( but the "unhealthy" one was good :-) )
    - stairs.leading up to the rooms, could be a problem

We stayed at Station B & B, for four nights . The room was basic but clean. Good supply of Tea , Coffee and biscuits. We arrived late but had no problem getting hold of the proprietor . He was friendly and welcoming . The rest of the staff were the same. Provided us one of the best tasty breakfast we ever ate . One can have late breakfast . I had mine between 9am - 10am which was wonderful . Thanks

We had the front room so did not hear the trains . Parking cost £2.50 per night but weekly pass only cost £10 and can be use in other few car parks.
Walking distance to town centre and behind is the river which is good for an evening stroll.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room , try the front one.
