I do understand the comments made about the rules and regulations - in fact we took the two sided sheet to show our friends and we all laughed at some of the terminology. However we all agreed that none of the rules would stop us from doing what we wished to do because we wouldn't break any of them anyway. The way they are written may not appeal to everyone but they certainly do not leave anyone in any doubt as to what is expected of them and unlike most other places the rules are enforced. This leads to a site that is immaculately clean, serenely peaceful and thoroughly delightful. On arrival our welcome was friendly and time was taken to walk us to a pitch which we were allowed to choose. After that we were left to ourselves and didn't encounter any problems. The facilities are immaculate and a joy to use. The bar was comfortable and friendly. In fact the only thing wrong with our stay was that it was too short. We will definitely return.

We stayed here over the May bank holiday and couldn't of wished for a better site. We arrived in our motorhome on the Friday evening and was greeted by the owner he then walked us to the site where we could choose which pitch we would like to stay on. From then on we could enjoy our holiday. The site has plenty of things to keep you busy and is kept spotlessly clean even the toilets and showers are kept spotless. Their is a fantastic wood so for dog walking it was perfect. Its also in an ideal location to go out and explore the beautiful county of Suffolk. As for other reviewers there are rules but a lot of them are down to the health and safety regulations not down to the campsite owners themselves. I didn't find any of the rules stated to be a problem and thought it was nice how they are trying to make sure that everyone who stays enjoys themselves. We will definitely be returning to Suffolk to explore some more and we will definitely be back staying at this campsite!

When I arrived at the site I had very high hopes. We had a walk around and facilities are lovely.... toilets & showers clean (if a little chintzy), golf course, other sports facilities, pub and a lake with a beach.
However, there is a notice on just about every pillar, door and post telling you what to do! The notices are condescending and unecessary. There list of what you cannot do in the lake is so long, it leaves you wondering why they have it in the first place! One of the notices in the bathroom included the instructions not to 'descend on them in hoardes'??!! which made us chuckle but wonder who is writing them?! If they dont want campers, perhaps they should just put in some more static caravans.
That said, if you can bring yourself to ignore the silly notices, the facilities are great for kids, its quiet, and the surrounding towns, pubs and rivers are lovely and unspolied. I'd come back to the area, but perhaps try a less stifling campsite.

I agree with the review above. We have been to this site 3 times now and on all occasions found the obsession with rules and regulations and the attitude of the owners awful. It is very expensive - and whilst having great facilities, you feel unable to relax for fear of breathing too loudly!
We do not plan to go again......

I stayed here with my family for 2 nights recently and didn't have a very good experience. Firstly the site is very nice (clean toilets/ nice greenery/ lake) but I think this is counter-balanced by both the cost (£240 for one caravan for 3 nights and one tent for 2 nights?!) and the BAD aittitude of the managements.
I am not a seasoned camper but my parents have visited numerous sites over the years with their caravan and I have to say the attitude of the staff is the worst they have come across.
We were firstly accused of not paying enough nor making the manager aware of the number/ names in our party - which after a heated discussion the manager admitted he was wrong (he initially accused us, then went away for 4 hours then questioned us again...get out the spotlight next time!!). Following on from this, he then went on to advise us of a complaint about noise from our caravan on the Friday evening at 9.30pm-10pm - we were quite surprised at this and even more shocked at his condesending tone. It turned out somebody had heard laughter from our area (it was reported to the clubhouse, who reported to the managers wife, who then came and checked it out but could hear nothing...) and that we were made aware that the site is quiet by 9pm everynight.
We also went to the clubhouse for food on the first night - food not bad but £105 bill for 6 adults and two childrens main meals and drinks seemed a bit steep.
So in conclusion only visit this site for the clean toilets and lake if 1) you are happy to pay over the odds and 2) you are tucked up in bed with your cocoa as quiet as a mouse by 9pm every night :o)
