Had a meal here and the staff were lovely. The food was very good, if a bit sparse, had hake and three tiny new potatoes, a few stalks of samphire and two small mushroom (I think) balls. Compared to the plates of fish and chips, ours looked like a starter. The big problem was there were flies everywhere, no attempt to deal with them by having a zapper in the room.

The Anchor is a real stalwart in Woodbridge. Great pub with a great pub menu that really punches.
Had beer battered haddock and chips. The fish was fresh, firm and tasty and the batter was incredibly crisp.
Perfect pub for great steaks - their rib eye is amazing, fish and curries. Desserts are delicious too

We have been in this pub before but hadn't eaten there. It's been refurbished recently so we thought we'd try it. The food we had for lunch was excellent and we had a smoked fish sharing platter with a portion of triple cooked chips. Another person with us had the crayfish sandwich in rosé Marie sauce. There was plenty of everything and it was freshly prepared. It was all reasonably priced.

We were made to feel welcome and would definitely eat there again.
