Owner description: NEVIS RANGE Mountain Experience is in the heart of the Highlands of Scotland, 7 miles north of Fort William. The mountain gondola will transport you to 650m on Aonach Mor where you'll find the Snowgoose restaurant & bar with awesome views, mountain trails, kids play area, and the Mountain discovery Centre (summer only). In the winter, we're open for sledging, skiing and boarding. There's biking for all in Leanachan forest, plus bike wash, bike hire and a skills park. The NEVIS downhill track (with gondola uplift) hosts the Mountian Bike World Cup each year and there's the new red Route opening in summer 2009. We hope you love it as much as we do!

How wonderful it was to place yourself comfortably in one of the gondolas, not sure if there is another, similar one in Britain, and just enjoy the view being somewhat worn out after my clamber up the other mountain the day before. It takes you up 2000ft. What a luxury to get that high sitting! There’s a forest walk, saw from above, and bike hire.

Facilities alright, clean toilets, restaurant, and a gift shop. Snowboarding simulator provides some more fun.

We took the Gondola ride up Aonach Mor in Mid October, it was a great way to spend a chilly but sunny afternoon. The base station is further round from Fort William than the glen Nevis visitor centre so keep going, you will get there. The Gondola can take you right up to the top station, which has a gift shop and a large cafe which doubles up as a Ceilidh venue for some nights in the summer. We're definitely coming back for that!

The view from the top station is breathtaking. There's a childrens play park, unsupervised and a path up to the summit. We didn't walk up to the summit as it's still a long hard hike and the cloud was down on the mountain so would have been lethal. Definitely an option on a sunny summers day.

The gondola ride is great fun, feels a bit like being in a disaster movie without the disaster. When we got back to the bottom we were surprised by the difference in temperature and had to strip down to our T-shirts. it was an unusually warm autumn day at the bottom but very cold up top. Make sure you're warmly dressed with layers, even in summer.

If you are in the neighbourhood it is a good idea to take this cable car and enjoy the stunning views from above. It can be crowdy though, so be prepared that you cannot enjoy the views in silence. For instance, we had a couple of Indians who were shouting to each other all the time.

We visited Ben Nevis Range on a lovely day when the visibility at the top was really clear. The ride in the cable car was great giving a good view for miles of the surrounding area. There is a large restaurant at the top and a good gift shop if you are looking for presents to take home. It was an interesting experience.

I really loved my trip up the mountain.
It was a brisk day, the gondala ride was exciting and fun, the wind was blowing so we got jiggled around abit.
It was good visibility and we got to see everything.
We ate in the restaurant, food was ok, canteen style fair.
My first ever taste of haggis and it was good. We messed around on a ski simulation game and bought some pressie for the kids.
We then went tubing which is free and great fun.
We were going to go for one of the walks but it started to rain. We headed back and were treated to some extreme bikers going down bits of the mountain from the air.
All in all I will go again and would recommend it to others.
