This B and B is 3 miles North of Fort William, with views of Ben Nevis. Lovely big twin room and nice bathroom. Everything spotless and clean towels daily. Very good breakfast, in dining room overlooking lovely garden. Easy to get into Fort William for dinner. Morag is very good host. Post code has changed and it's on your left past Inverlochy Hotel heading North. Would go there again.

There was a friendly welcome and a nice big warm room and everything working if a little tired. All facilities you needed, including free wifi. Breakfast was plentiful and good. I get the impression this has been run as a B&B for many years. Nothing facility wise nearby such as shop or pub/resto for dinner so you have to drive the 3 miles down to Fort William if you want to eat out or buy in some supplies. Nice place would stay there again at the right price.

Morag and her husband were very friendly, the house was neatly tucked away just a few miles outside fort william. The house was very clean and the bed very comfortable. As we had to leave VERY early we didnt get chance to sit and eat breakfast but Morag very kindly left us some yoghurt, fruit and cereals out so we could help ourselves to take on our drive. The en-suite bathroom was lovely and we had a room overlooking the big garden and some trees with regular fly-bys from herons.

Room Tip: All the rooms we looked at seemed lovely

We stayed for a couple of nights in April 2014 and found a place that fully lived up to its reviews. Its perfectly situated for the North face car park being just across the road from the way in to the forest and is a few miles outside Fort William and really easy to find.

Morag was excellent and catered for my wife's gluten allergy perfectly. The room we had was far larger than any hotel room I've stayed in and just as comfortable. Breakfast - although lacking a big bowl of porridge (to be fair, I didn't ask for porridge) - was huge with as much toast as you want and an enormous cooked breakfast. On day two we both scaled down what we ate and we were still full for the rest of the day!

We had our own en-suite bathroom and shower which again was huge in comparison with any hotel. Why would you stay anywhere else in Fort William if you can get into Thistle Cottage?

Room Tip: Phone direct to the cottage and talk to Morag - far easier than booking online

We stayed here with our dog for 3 nights in April 2014. Thistle Cottage is lovely and clean with beautifully appointed bedrooms. Ours had an ensuite bath and shower which was just great. The breakfast was super and cooked freshly to order each day, even a sausage for the dog! Nothing was too much trouble with clean towels every day. Great value for money B and B in a great area and Morag is a brilliant hostess.
