Visited today 29/12/13 for a birthday lunch with a range of ages from 20 months to 85 years young. Excellent service, excellent food all plates cleared. Food all hot and plentiful, all fresh produce used, excellent value for money. Food clearly made with love. Return regularly and never disappointed.

We were looking for somewhere to meet some friends in Guildford, for dinner and a chat. It was a Friday night and we chose the Bulls Head in West Clandon because it was likely to be less noisy than Guildford itself - and the food reviews were good.
What a great choice. Although a relatively small restaurant area, maybe 25 seats, the food was top notch and the selection was really good too. My stilton & broccoli quiche was divine, good fresh salad and coleslaw, and home made chips (none of the all too common frozen chips). Despite clearly being mainly frequented by locals out for a Friday tipple, the atmosphere for non-locals was great and the service was friendly and efficient.
I'd recommend this place to anyone.

We ate in this restaurant yesterday and what a little find! Superb home cooked food - pies to die for. We always pass it on our way to the very busy highly rated Onslow Arms but not anymore. This will be our first stop from now on. It also looks like an old traditional pub which adds to the atmosphere. Keep doing what you are doing!

Lunch on a lazy Sunday afternoon and incredible value for money. I had lamb with minted gravy and the usual vegetables and roast potatoes. The plate was stacked and the lamb just fell off the bone and melted in your mouth. Cooked to a tee ! It was all delicious, only comment was way too much food haha. This quaint little pub is like a little grotto inside with little fairy lights everywhere and is one of the last remaining traditional Old English Pubs please don't modernise as it is perfect just the way it is.

I have not eaten here but menu is well priced and I didnt see food left on peoples plates, always a good sign.
Traditional decor, kept spotlessly clean. Sort of place to bring foreign guests to show them a proper pub.
Friendly with small neat garden.
Ales included Shere Drop, Youngs Bitter and Doom Bar.
