The restaurant/pub has very recently changed hands. (2 months ago). It was a beautiful sunny day, so we, therefore, ate outside. There are tables both in the sun and in the shade. There is an interesting view of the river. One can also very easily walk to the pub during a shopping trip in Guildford. The interior of the pub looked very pleasing and I would be very happy to eat inside on a day when the weather isn't so clement! The food was ok, not wonderful, but not terrible either, plus a tad pricey. I would certainly go again because of the convenient location and the pleasant ambiance of the pub.

The Sunday lunch we had was fantastic, we all left absolutely stuffed! The atmosphere in the pub is great with modern decor alongside some nice features. The conservatory and outside areas are lovely to sit in on a sunny day, although the conservatory can get very warm.
Overall a great pub, and would certainly visit again if I'm in the area. The only downside is the lack of free parking (about 10 spaces) so you may need to park in the Pay & Display 2 mins walk away.

The food has changed recently, no more unheated tuna melts and now some nice pasta dishes but are they really worth the nearly £10?

We called in for Sunday lunch when the sun was shining. What a lovely view out on the terrace overlooking the park and canal watching the narrowboats and canoes pass by.The food was very good (choice of roasts) with good veg and yorkshire pud and plenty gravy without having to ask for more.My wife said the sticky toffee pudding was the best ever.Staff were friendly and efficient and the Youngs bitter excellent! It's nice and cosy inside too with log burning stove. Will definately call again.

Did the walk along the river from Godalming to Guildford and popped in for a drink and some light lunch. Good selection of drinks and we had the pie of the day. Which was very nice in its own bowl with mash and vegetables in another bowl. Great to sit out side on the terrace and look down on the river and enjoy your meal and enjoy your drink in the sunshine..
