“G Live review (Jason Manford)”

This is our fifth visit and as we live c 10 miles away it's so much easier than travelling to London etc.

Good points: clean, new and professional looking. Good views from all seats with plenty of leg room (I'm 6'2'' so often a problem). Tickets competitively priced; keen friendly volunteer ushers. Loads of (pay for) parking to the rear. Can take drinks into the auditorium.

Bad points (minor moans) only one bar is open even though they have two, so big queues before and at interval (buying drinks ahead of the interval just introduced thank goodness!). Not enough loos so queues for ladies and gents (but only a couple of minutes). Everything has to finish by 10.30 although naughty Paul Weller went on till nearly 11.00 - rebel or what?!

Loads of bars/eateries near and new Radisson Blu hotel too.

No reason not to go time and time again - enjoy and hope this was useful of potential first timers.

“Fawlty Towers Dining Experience, Guildford G-LIVE”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 December 2013

Was so looking forward to the evening, but sadly it was so disappointing - dire, in fact! We had expected the food not to be great having read past reviews, but the actors were awful. Manuel's character was nothing like the original - he was smutty and really not funny at all. Sybil was weak, and Basil was okish. The evening was extremely amateurish and not at all as we had expected. Wondered if these particular (actors?) had been called in at the last minute and really had no idea what they were doing.
Really disappointed

“Brilliant concert venue”

A lovely venue. Very pleasant bar, reasonably priced for Guildford. Good cloakroom. Always a pleasure to see a show here.

“Beware the booking fees”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 December 2013

Latest concert venue in Guildford, attracting good music and comedy acts. Food and drink expensive and average. Do beware the booking and admin fees on all the tickets, even if paying cash.

“Fantastic acoustics, but not well designed, uncomfortable seats!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 December 2013

The venue is a modern state-of-the-art building with amazing acoustics. But the seating is very uncomfortable, my knees were jammed against the back of the seat in front (I am 172cm tall), and our backs started aching half way through.
There are loos, but badly signed and many women were queuing for the Disabled loos as they could not see the where the ladies were. When the lobby was empty it was obvious! But it meant disturbing all the people standing to have their interval drinks to get there!
The interval was only 20 minutes and not long enough to get to the drinks (pre-ordered) and not have to gulp them down before the second half.
Not well thought out. Shame, needs management input to improve the customer exp-erience. It could be great.
