“Great venue with good parking nearby”

Great medium sized venue with good facilities and big car park. Reasonable bar too. Not far from the rail station so great if you'd rather not drive.

“Excellent venue, and food was good.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 February 2014

This is the third time we've visited G Live, and the first time we've eaten in the Mezzanine Restaurant. Good food, well cooked, but with slightly strange choices. Not bad value for money, but not exactly cheap. Staff friendly and efficient. We booked our table for 17:00 for a 19:30 show, and had sufficient time to eat without rushing. Allow at least 90 minutes. Went to a concert, and seating is well laid out, with pricing that seems a little steep for a rural event, but we thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

“Great local entertainment”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 January 2014

I usually visit for comedy shows and it's great to see big names without having to travel a long way. I saw Sean Walsh in a room that sat no more than 50 which was fantastic as we got a meet and greet at the end. I also saw Sean Lock in the main auditorium which was good also. G Live have loads of shows and big names at great prices. Worth a visit if you're in the area and in need of a night of entertainment

“Excellent venue but eat elsewhere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 January 2014

We saw Anton du Beke "Ballroom to Broadway" - having been last year we hoped the Mezzanine restaurant had improved but sadly it had not, arriving at 5.15 we did not get our food until 6pm but it was very nice - finished just after 7 with just enough time to buy a programme and take our seats.
Good view from our circle seats, very clean and comfortable - parking easy, all facilities clean and staff polite. Fabulous show - just allow hours if you want to eat there!

“G Live review (Jason Manford)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 January 2014

This is our fifth visit and as we live c 10 miles away it's so much easier than travelling to London etc.

Good points: clean, new and professional looking. Good views from all seats with plenty of leg room (I'm 6'2'' so often a problem). Tickets competitively priced; keen friendly volunteer ushers. Loads of (pay for) parking to the rear. Can take drinks into the auditorium.

Bad points (minor moans) only one bar is open even though they have two, so big queues before and at interval (buying drinks ahead of the interval just introduced thank goodness!). Not enough loos so queues for ladies and gents (but only a couple of minutes). Everything has to finish by 10.30 although naughty Paul Weller went on till nearly 11.00 - rebel or what?!

Loads of bars/eateries near and new Radisson Blu hotel too.

No reason not to go time and time again - enjoy and hope this was useful of potential first timers.
