“Happy days :)”
Reviewed 28 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We had a lovely time, pottering around Devon and Dorset in Blueberry. She's a lovely Camper van, and the guys at Retro Campers made sure we had all we needed for a relaxed week away. Still amazed how many smiles and waves we got from other motorists and onlookers throughout the week - it made for many happy memories!

“Long weekend in 'Blueberry'”
Reviewed 28 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Really enjoyed our time with Bluberry. A lovely old 1974 camper with all the character you would expect. Well looked after and great fun to drive around in.
The owners of the company are really helpful and a pleasure to deal with.
Thoroughly recommended

“Honoured to have experienced the van and the co.”
Reviewed 6 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We hired Kiwi for a 3 night weekend in early June. Kiwi was originally hired by us last year in October but we couldn't go so they very kindly let us 're-book for this year with no monetary penalty, which they were quite entitled to charge. We booked a 2 night stay in Durdle Dor campsite and one night in Holmsley campsite in the New Forest. Both very different experiences but we enjoyed both very much.

We didn't even make a cup of tea in Kiwi and felt that, for a short stay like ours, we wouldn't want to. I'm not eating bread at the moment but life would have been so much easier if I was! Sandwiches highly recommended as decent bread was to be had in most places. We say avoid cooking! You could get cups of tea in both campsites.

We certainly recommend booking a campsite in advance and, if you like nice food, research that as well. We recommend the food and the lovely old building of The Weld Inn in East Lulworth.

We also recommend Crocs for walks to the loo - light, quiet, waterproof and easy to get on and off. Coats that can be used both as dressing gowns and as an extra blanket. My Parka was ace. A torch might be very useful.

We both really like driving and fight for the car keys. There was slightly less fighting over the van keys after a while as Kiwi is pretty challenging to drive and I allowed my partner's macho desire to tame Kiwi to take over. The tension caused by the challenging gears along with the sea air meant we slept like logs every night.

We would have taken fewer clothes and no food or cooking gear as space in the van is very limited. The only serious storage space in Kiwi is at the back and everything has to be moved onto the front seats, or up into the pop-up space if no-one is sleeping there, at night in order to make the bed up. The bed was large enough to fit a plump 6 footer and a plumper 5 ft 9er and we found it extremely comfortable.

We would definitely use Retrocampervans again and would hire Kiwi again as we absolutely loved the experience of tootling about in the countryside in the lovely old van. Most other road users are very patient with you!

“Mango-nificent!!”
Reviewed 14 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

What a great way to celebrate turning 30! We fell in love with Mango camping in the lovely New Forest. It doesn't take long getting used to driving a vehicle of this age. Charlie gave us some very useful tips in the car park before setting us off on our trip. The van has a good set up and everything is really easy to use. Being taller it was great having the pop top and the bed was big and comfy enough. We have been looking to buy one since we have been back as we loved the experience so much! Thank you Rod and Charlie :)

“Dubbers Delight!”
Reviewed 11 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We cherished our time in Mango. She was a sterling van for a fabulous week away. We felt so proud driving around in such a beauty! Even though we had some pretty adverse weather conditions, our two children loved the whole experience. It felt like we had always done it. Thanks to Rod for a super service too.

“Fantastic Experience”
Reviewed 3 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Just had a great half term week with one of Rods newer T5 vans. Great van for a young family, we had some grand days out and an overnighter in Dorset. Apparently it's good fun to sleep in the pop top roof, and both my wife and I found the rock 'n' roll bed comfy. Nice and easy to book, and Rod spent time running through the ins and outs of the van before sending us off on our adventure. First rate and would recommend to anyone.
