“History but still close to town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2014

Beautify history 2mins from High street often missed by visitors. Steep slope if wheelchair user to some parts only. Has bowls on the green and occasional band stand in use. Alice through the looking glass statue down fairly hidden path near bowling green worth a look. Nice spot for picnic or reading or just time OT. Top of keep wonderful views around Guildford with small charge to enter.

“Watch the touch of Spring here!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2014

Pick a nice and sunny day to arrive with children. you will be amazed with the daffodil sea on the hill in April. They create a nice garden for summer, so visit frequently. Bring your camera, and a nice book, get to a bank and enjoy the afternoon!

“Step back in history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2014

Many years ago (perhaps too many for my liking) i visited this castle. Way back in the 70's and 80's it was a shell. However the pixies that rebuild castles have been at Guildford, and although it is only a small keep the floors and roofs have been put back into place, so the small admission fee is well worth the price when you can stand where king John did all those years ago, or climb to the top via a spiral staircase and view Guildford (which as towns go isn't to bad a place to view over). So when or if you are in Guildford just wander off the high street and pay this place a visit.

“Under Repair”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 July 2014

The Guildford Castle was under repair when I visited. It seemed as though this would be something to definitely see when finished. Situated close to high street in Guildford it is not too far out of the way.
