Frankie and Benny's was a little disappointing. The restaurant is clean, service was friendly, the toilets smell lovely and the menu is very extensive (almost too extensive as it took us a long time to decide what to order). They have a kids menu and the pack that they give out to occupy children while they are waiting was superb. The game kept our three year old occupied until the food was on our table and she was absolutely thrilled with the pack!
So it was a real disappointment when the food came out and really was not that great. The BBQ sauce on my chicken was watery, the vegetables were soggy and the chips were cold. My husband said his sandwiches were o.k. but nothing special. My daughter did wolf down her pizza so she was happy. Ironically, she had been desperate to eat in Sainsbury's cafe before we arrived here, and after the meal I did think that we would have been as happy with the meal there as we were at Frankie and Benny's for half the cost. It is unlikely we will make a return visit.
