At last a really first class restaurant in Guildford. Fabulous food made with top quality ingredients and great combinations. Not too many choices but as it's seasonal you can be assured that the quality is excellent. The staff are lovely and the Chef and owner very friendly. Sadly not open on a Sunday evening so I couldn't go there on my birthday but it would definitely have been my choice. We have been there quite a few times and the food never disappoints.

Me and my husband went to brittens on a busy Saturday evening. When we arrived the restaurant was packed but the staff was friendly and accomadating. The food was delicious I would recommend the fillet steak with mushroom and truffle purée it was delicious. My husband had the lamb which was also superb! This place was what guildford needed book now!

There are so many chain offerings these days, that is a pleasure to eat at an independent restaurant, where the food is produced with love! Every time I go there are improvements both inside and out.

Not too many choices means fresh food (avoid places with pages and pages on the menu), and in this case there is also a great balance, meaning there is something for everyone.

In my case, I had the 'Britten Burger'. Hand made, and with probably the best chips you can get!

Will be returning soon.

We visited early evening last night, and started with the mojito cocktail, it was amazing! We had a 3 course meal and it was delicious. Service was amazing! Everybody was friendly and helpful. Can't wait to return.

I went to Brittens in March and the experience was very good. The staff welcome was lovely and there was good service throughout the night - I have noticed in some reviews people have negative things to say about service, as with any restaurant there can be slip ups and delays if you aren't a cynic ita nothing that would affect your meal. The wine list was good and reaaonably priced, and the food menu was good too, every dish sounded lovely. No need for 15 things to choose from! The food was lovely, up to a good standard. However portions definitely need to be a bit bigger, without a rise in price. The atmosphere was nice, not too bright or loud.

The courses were spaced apart nicely, which I seem to have trouble finding in restaurants so it's great that at Brittens they give you time to chat and enjoy your evening not as well as the food. There's nothing worse than feeling like you're being rushed out of a restaurant.

The only odd thing that was not in keeping with the restaurant was this man (staff in some way) floating around, serving the odd plate wearing very casual clothes. This did not match nice uniforms that every other member of staff was wearing. This didn't affect my meal in any way but just something to change in future to keep up a professional look.
