“A perfect B&B”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2013

We stayed here a weekend in late June. Very nice rooms and a friendly welcome. The center of town is a few minutes walk away with a few good restaurants. You can sit on the terrace of the local pub and easily spend an hour watching the fancy cars and bikes moving slowly by.

Room Tip: Only 2 rooms and both are excellent.

We visited Pear Tree House again a year on and I wondered if it would still be as good - and it was! This time we stayed in the more expensive room (at £75 including breakfast it still seems very good value for such luxury!). The bed was just as comfortable and the bathroom is gorgeous. It is also very quiet despite being on the High Street. The decor throughout is beautiful. Again we had to leave early and Carolanne was up to make us breakfast - fresh fruit salad, poached eggs and toast - so kind given it was 6.45 on a Sunday morning. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Room Tip: Any of the rooms are wonderful!

What a gem in a town that is also a gem. I've known Haslemere since a child and it is a little gem with an award winning museum, nice places to eat, drink and take coffee. Now we've discovered the only place to stay, Pear Tree House. On arrival we obviously looked stressed after a hospital visit and Carolanne offered tea and biscuits in the lovely lounge. Our room was spacious, well stocked with fruit, green and breakfast teas and proper Nescafe gold blend. The bathroom is modern with excellent shower and bath. Breakfast during the week is continental with fresh fruit, Waitrose, a range of cereals, toast and croissants. Fresh cafetiere coffee and tea. Pete happily made fresh porridge for me. Cost per night £75, barely more than a Travelodge + breakfast and less than the local *** Hotel. The only drawback, there's only 2 rooms! We will be back.

Room Tip: Even the room at the front of the house is quiet, very little traffic noise.

Stayed here for 4 nights in January whilst scouting locations to live. Was initially sceptical at the number of 5-star reviews on tripadvisor as there was nothing negative said by anyone but I can see why everyone else likes the place now. A best kept secret I think - location was perfect, don't worry about it being beside the main road into town as the town is quiet, you can't hear road noise and the fact you can walk to everything in the town is great. Hosts are very accommodating and knowledgable on the local area. I don't think I've ever taken the time to recommend a place on trip advisor but I would recommend this one.

We loved our short stay here and hope to be back again soon to enjoy a longer break. A lovely room, immaculate throughout, plenty of space and all those little touches that add to the B&B experience. Then add in a gorgeous sitting room for guest use and another gorgeous room in which to enjoy a fabulous breakfast. A really great and convenient location too, very close to the centre of Haslemere but set away in a quiet location for a restful nights sleep in a comfy king size bed. It was a shame that we were only staying for one night.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I spent the weekend in Haslemere for my best friends wedding and needed somewhere to stay at the last minute. Pete and Caroline managed to squeeze us in at the last minute. They were so accommodating and the B&B excelled our expectations. the room was immaculate with a king size bed, fitted wardrobe, TV and tea & coffee making facilities. a beautiful ensuite with fresh towels. The breakfast was out of this world, both full English and continental! I would definitely recommend this B&B and will be staying again in the not so near future

I totally agree with every review on here for The Pear Tree House. A friend and I stayed here over the weekend after arranging a walking trip in Haslemere. I fell in love! The house is divine and I was amazed to find out that the family who own it, bought it only three years ago as a derelict building. I would quite happily move in there tomorrow! The hosts were so friendly and welcoming and totally made us feel at home. I've only been back a day and have recommended both Haslemere and The Pear Tree House to a number of people. Both are ideal for a relaxing break. I'd be more than happy to return!

Room Tip: All the rooms we saw were excellent. Our room was at the front of the building, nearest to the main...
