I have visited this museum twice over the last eighteen months whilst staying in Haslemere.
It really is a diverse place with such a variety of exhibits to suit all tastes.
If you do not find something of interest in this museum I will be amazed.
Happily spend an hour or two here.
A good shop in house too.

“Well maintained local museum”
Reviewed 3 November 2013 via mobile

The museum is very well set out and will be of interest to all ages for a good couple of hours. They also often put on events and activities for kids so well worth visiting their website before going. The collection is a fairly typical Victorian museum - geology, taxidermy, Stone Age tools and the like. These are well presented and there are some gems - such as an Egyptian mummy. I put off for many years going for fear of it just being rocks and stuffed animals, but wish I had gone in earlier and not been so snobby. Kids do like these items in particular. Main problem is there isn't much about the history of Haslemere itself which is a bit odd. Would be nice to learn more about the social (as well as geological/archeological) past. Good shop as well.
