“Macbeth at Haslemere Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2014

Just had a wonderful evening at Haslemere Museum watching Macbeth in the back garden, the atmosphere was great and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, we took our own picnic and chairs, but could also get refreshments from the Museum.

Well done to all who organised this event, especially Karen, it was a great success. Hopefully there be another one next year.

“Not enough time.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

Visited briefly as time was a factor and thought to returned later but closed on Mondays. What little viewed was interesting and contained a bulletin board of village events.

“Wonderful local museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 May 2014 via mobile

I've spent my life visiting this museum firstly with my parents and, more recently, with my children. Excellent, varied exhibits and events with lovely gardens. Very helpful staff.

“Best little museum ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

Award-winning and deservedly! We've been family members since we moved to Haslemere in 2002 and our children have grown up with the museum, family events, children's workshops, D of E exhibition, youth team, school visits. Just one of the best little places on earth. And all in my local high street!

“Childhood memory”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 February 2014

This is still a remarkable museum for the size of town and remote location. It was set up by local worthies in the past century in order to educate the populace. It educated me as a boy when I loved coming here. I went back for the first time in about 30 years and it is a shame that the updating has meant that most of the collection is mothballed and what is left is in half of the space. The old, rambling feel of the place was half of the attraction. That said, it appears that this extra space is now used for schools, so I shall not complain.
