“Ideal base to explore Newcastle”
Reviewed 25 March 2016 for a stay in February 2016

This was a great place to stay - wow, so comfortable and with a little bit of luxury. Like a hotel, but with more privacy and space, and a lovely neat little kitchen. It was a treat to stay - it’s a great base to explore Newcastle - we stayed for 5 nights here (then had a couple of nights at Dylan’s other cottage up the Northumberland coast at Seahouses). While at Docker’s Digs we just hopped on and off the bus into the city centre, about 10 minutes. Loved the decor - the double bedroom is so quiet and the bed really comfy. The attic living room is a bit special, though. Really unusual bits of furniture and art on the walls - so cozy, great flatscreen TV, and great views of the lit-up church and the hills beyond at night. Nice park nearby for walks too - will definitely be back.

Liked best: The decor throughout is quite something, making the property very cosy.
Liked least: I would have liked the ability to check-in earlier but unfortunately it was booked out the night before.
