Saw this restaurant when it was being converted from a bank. Visited recently and found staff friendly but professional. The food was lovely and the presentation and table setting were perfect. We sat near the door and a variety of people came in, couples and families.

I booked this as a night out for friends. It’s in a great location as it’s very close to Harry’s Bar where we usually meet for a drink,
We were greeted as soon as we walked in and shown to our table immediately. We were given kir royales as my friend knew the maître d’.
We were served by an excellent waitress and the food was lovely. Several of us had mussels from the set menu followed by chicken. We also had a French sparking wine (their equivalent of Prosecco).
Desserts were also lovely- two of us had crème caramel and the other two had chocolate mousse.
Overall it was a lovely meal, excellent service and a great location

We wanted somewhere to eat before going to the theatre and as it had been a while since we last ate in Newcastle we were uncertain where to go. However, the location of Côte Brasserie stood out and we were intrigued by a 'French' restaurant in Newcastle. We were not disappointed, the food was excellent, the service was friendly and efficient and, we thought, good value. Our visit and food got us off in the right frame of mind to enjoy the rest of our evening.

We ate here with friends & have to say it was a little disappointing. Drinks before the meal were not very satisfactory due to the choice available & the fact that there were only two gins, one of which was sold out & there was not enough of the other. they did offer to go & buy a bottle, but why were the supplies so low? The food on the whole was good, but one of the main meals was cold when it arrived. They did replace the meal, but by the time it arrived the rest of us had almost finished. The staff were pleasant, but the service rather slow. Maybe it was an off day, but I wouldn't rush back there for a meal.

A friend bought me vouchers for this restaurant and wow what a fab meal we had. My husband had French onion soup while I had the asparagus special the sauce was amazing. We both followed by the pork belly and again well cooked, crispy top and falling apart underneath served on a bed of braised cabbage with Apple OMG it was fab. The service was first class. All washed down with a bottle of wine. A night to remember, we will be back soon.
