Description: As if the Gateshead Millennium Bridge and the Baltic Art Gallery weren't enough reason to visit Newcastle's Quayside, there is also Gusto. Make the most of those sunshine days on the beautiful terrace, and when the evening (or the clouds) draw in, step inside the large, lively bar - with a superb choice of wines and cocktails. Add a 200-year-old olive tree, sprinkled in fairy lights, and Gusto Newcastle makes any day magical.

“Excellent service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 May 2014 via mobile

We've been to Gustos several times now over the past year and I've never been dissapointed. The service is great- the waiters and waitresses are always very accommodating and genuinely friendly- and the atmosphere is perfect. Service is everything when you're eating out and I feel it's what really makes this place stand out. The menu has a large range of options and prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend coming here over pitcher and piano.

“Pleasently surprised”

Went here for my bosses 50th birthday. Good prices for the Quayside area of town. One of the nicest burgers and fries, i have had in a long time. Everyone else's, meal looked lovely. No complaints from anyone at our long table. Can't fault it.

“Service 1st Class”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 May 2014 via mobile

We went for a walk down the quayside & hadn't planned on a meal & we came across Gusto . The decor is lovely but I'm afraid to say the food is average tasteless & overpriced .We shared a garlic bread . I had a chicken dish which looked really nice & my fiancé had a prawn dish . A nice bottle of Pinot & the bill was £58.00. We still gave a good tip to Johnny the waiter as he was very friendly & excellent at his job . All in all a gorgeous place & location but needs tastier food as bland . Don't think we would return

“Location, location......”

Book a window table upstairs if you can. It's upmarket but has a younger, cool type of vibe. Food was excellent - celeriac soup starter and duck main were perfect.
We were looking somewhat scruffy but the service was very good nevertheless. V good almond brownie. Not cheap but we'll worth it.

“Lovely time excellent service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2014

Had a great time at the gusto. The starters were lovely (dough petals and hummus) and my partners main meal was also gorgeous (lemon and saffron chicken). I had pizza it was really nice - but on reflection shouldn't have had more dough and opted for a children or fish dish instead :) drinks are reasonably price and the service was fab as well. We were served by a lovely lady called Sammy and also a young lad who again was very friendly and attentive :) thanks to you guys for a lovely meal. The staff work really hard there! Would recommend.
