Have to say we were given a great room on the top floor overlooking the river. Room very clean and also very hot until the air conditioning was repaired. The inclusive tea and freshly made coffee is a great idea, though the cooked breakfast is very 'samey' scrambled egg, sausage and beans every morning, but there is also a good continental selection. My main concern would be the 20 minute walk into the centre of town and the fact that the suites are located in a very 'shady' part of the toon. Given its' location I think the suites are a tad expensive, nevertheless we enjoyed our stay, especially the riverside walks.

Just returned from a weekend stay with some friends.
Hotel staff couldn't be more helpful, nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them, especially Chris one of the night staff, he went out of his way to make sure our stay was the best it could be...fantastic staff, a credit to the hotel....!
Perfect location, 10 minute walk to the city Center or very cheap in a taxi...
The rooms were lovely, very clean and comfortable, breakfast was great too, although we did miss our second mornings breakfast due to too much alcohol the night before...:-)
Can not fault this hotel or staff, everything was perfect. Will definitely be returning.
Keep up the good work :-)

A last minute decision to visit the Northumbrian cost on a sunny weekend and we took a chance on this hotel/apartment place.
We are a family with two kids ( age 10 & 12) and usually go for self catering. However due to the last minute nature we couldn't get SC so I plumped for a suite with bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchenette. Really pleased with our choice, mainly because of the massive fridge which we filled with drinks so no need for expensive minibar.
A good base to travel from, plenty of room in the kitchen to make a picnic, great shower in the bathroom, sofa bed for the kids and two TV's so no falling out over which movie to watch before bed!
Staff all very polite and friendly, breakfast in the restaurant was lovely and fresh and on-site secure car parking.
    5 *!

I stayed over last Saturday night I had the 1 bedroom suite and must say I found it top draw, the reception were excellent and had a can do attitude as well.
This is more like a serviced apartment than a hotel which provides breakfast of sorts they only had omelette's with cheese on pre-cooked and reheated although on saying I had an allergy to cheese the young lady organised scrambled eggs which were good although the one complaint I had was the "SAUSAGE" this must be the worst tasting one I have ever had a very cheap & nasty item which must be changed immediately, other than that it was a good stay the staff were excellent although this is not really walking distance to the Quayside you definitely need a car as its away from the main areas.

Thank you very much for your feedback, I will look in to the sausage offering. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Pitcher and Piano on the Quayside as there is a shortcut straight to it. Thank you again for the feedback, we really do appreciate it and look forward to welcoming you again.
