Lovely, lovely expense accounts. They allow you to stay at places like this.
I have stayed here before, over two years ago, and was impressed then. It is just as good the second time; my room included a small kitchen area with fridge, a lounge with chairs and a sofa plus TV, through to the bedroom with another telly and a modern bathroom. Tiniest niggle; not keen on shower curtains.
The hotel does a decent brekky, it's all modern and clean and things work. Friendly and helpful staff. Very pleased.

Stayed here last year and chose it again for another three night break. Great facilities and superb staff who go out of their way to be helpful. It really does feel like a home from home. Everything you need in kitchen, beds are comfy, roomy bathroom. Excellent buffet breakfast. Great location- 5 mins walk to Quayside and short walk into town centre. This hotel deserves its great ratings. Wouldn't really consider staying anywhere else when in Newcastle.

Everything you need. Easy walk into town. Helpful hosts. Stayed in 507 with a view of Tyne/Millenium Bridge, The Baltic and Sage Gateshead with sun shining on it. If you need to cook or eat in the kitchen area everything is well equipped to a high standard. Comfy beds and clean. Tues/Weds/Thurs they host wine/beer and canapes in lounge.

A rare gem of a hotel with everything you may need overnight - including literally the kitchen sink. It's a home from home with all the pots and pans you would want if you chose to cook an evening meal - there's even a laundry room to do your washing and a gym to work out! However, the breakfast served each morning is not to be missed and sets you up for the day ahead. The staff are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. On arrival I discovered the reclining sofa mechanism was broken and literally within minutes of reporting it John came to the room and fixed it straightaway - great service with a smile. Craig Patterson makes every guest feel special and this is true of management and staff alike - from the moment you walk in through the entrance door and throughout the hotel it's like having an extended family. It would always be my first choice when staying in Newcastle - there is no other that can match the superb rooms, facilities and welcome. All the staff and management deserve a pat on the back for being such a breath of fresh air in the world of hospitality.

Room Tip: You won't be disappointed whatever room you get allocated.

I booked this place for my sister in law to stay for a month while having treatment in newcastle and visited with my family for half term. I'm a very fussy guest and I am struggling to find fault. The rooms are clean, bright and bigger than most hotel rooms. The staff are all exceptionally polite and helpful. I have felt a little awkward being the only family with small noisy children, but the staff have made them feel super welcome and given them sweets and little executive jobs to do, like running around with remote controls to change the mood lights on everyone's table every evening. Craig is a superstar and I fully expect to bump into him running the intercontinental park lane one of these days.
