I stayed here to visit Newcastle with my friend at the start of June. The location is a short walk (around 15min) to the centre of Newcaslte and it is ideal to walk along the front of the Quay (5min down the hill).
Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious (although the knifes in the kitchen knife block were still dirty from previous people). Toilet was also clean and shower pressure was great for us long haired folks. Bed was comfy.
The hotel don't do twin bedrooms, only double. So keep that in mind when booking. Housekeeping also don't work throught weekends. Breakfast was served til half 10 and there was a choice of sausage, egg, bacon, toast, muffins etc and fresh juices.
Only complaint I have is that the room windows don't open, and the aircon only goes to 19. So it the right of summery you may find the room extremely warm. I have a lung condition and found it difficult to sleep, were told there was no fans, then we were told we could get a fan but it never appeared so getting to/staying asleep was a struggle. For that reason I probably wouldn't return during warmer months!More
