The food here is fantastic, make no qualms about it. If you're looking to be critical about perfect 'Italian cooking' and want a fine dining experience, this may not be the place for you. However, if you're looking for a place to wind down, have a coffee (or a BYO bottle of wine) and enjoy some home-cooked, rustic, fantastically flavoursome Italian food in a warm cosy atmosphere, and at a criminally low price, then you won't find anywhere better in Newcastle. Nothing is too much trouble for the Italian owner, Lorenzo, and you genuinely do leave the place with a warm satisfied felling that makes you want to come back and visit again.

My housemates and I have been eating here for 5 years whilst at University, and we will continue to return for a long time after I'm sure.

Looking for somewhere to eat we stumbled upon this place, not the best looking of places, don't let that put you off, the food is lovely, and it's dirt cheap too! For four mains, deserts & drinks it was £31 you could barely get cheaper if you cooked it yourself!

Just after having a lovely lunch here, proper italian food nicely cooked and friendly served in a down to earth atmosphere. Good pizza nice pasta and home-made dessert. Well done, recommended and we'll b back.

We've been going to Sapori for years and will continue to do so. The food is delicious - my favourites are the garlic bread with tomato (and extra garlic), trifle and amaretto ice cream. Lorenzo has become a friend and we celebrate all our special occasions there. It's top of the list to visit when my brother and his family come from Gloucester.
