Visited this place often, since it first opened, and if you know what home cooked indian food tastes like, its one of the best traditional indian eateries in Newcastle. For starters the mix grill is fabulous, 2 tender/soft juicy marinated tandoori lamb chops, two freshly cooked sheek kebabs one made with chicken mince, the other with lamb mince, and then 2pc of malai chicken tikka (soft white version) and 2pc of normal chicken tikka, accompanied with salad and a yellow sweet sauce. For mains, I normally opt for the aromatic fish curry, which is cooked to perfection, not too spicy and overpowering, allowing you savour the taste. My partner has the chicken karai which also is delectable...the only dish i avoid is the lamb handi...lamb on the bone curry as it gives me stomach problems, the masala is very strong, but for those with stronger stomachs its a sure must. Garlic nans are splendid, I adore the chicken biryani with fried onions on top. The piece de resistance has got to be the home made rasamalai with falooda, light fluffy balls with pistachio nuts in cool refreshing milk. A lovely way to finish a meal off
