the waiters and the owner are so welcoming and very attentive. I would return to this restaurant in the future.

Thank you for your kind review. We are so glad you enjoyed the food and ambience.

Yes the name is a good ice breaker, for the record it was originally opened several years ago as an Indo/Italian restaurant hence the name.

Looking forward to be of service on your next visit.

My husband and I visited Newcastle for a night away and he found this restaurant by reading reviews. It was only a 5 min taxi journey from Newcastle centre.

When we arrived early table was already ready for us, we ordered starters and drinks. Starters did not disappoint, absolutely delicious. Service was also fantastic, the manager made sure that no one including ourselves waited for their main meals. He would contact the kitchen if anyone was waiting to long to ensure we had our food speedily. Quality of food was 5 star and the tastiest curry I have ever eaten. My husband had korma and he is very fussy, but also said it was the best one ever!

I would highly recommend this place to anyone and I can see why it's so popular in Newcastle! It's amazing!

Seeing that it was a top rated restaurant on TripAdvisor, I thought it would be a bit more pricey. However, I'm happy to say it is not- the prices were reasonable and very much in line with what you would pay at other similar indian restaurants.

The restaurant is located within a hotel and this is reflected in the service. Our waiters did not show much enthusiasm and I felt a bit rushed to order even though it was not crowded when we were there. However this was more than made up for by the great food and who I think may be the charismatic manager/owner of the restaurant.

The garlic family naan was full of flavour & did not it come across as a regular naan that was stretched thin. The curries we had, had complex flavours and were adequately spicy. We shared a jug of mango lassi which complimented the spiciness of the curries quite well. All in all, we left full and happy.

We have recently come back from
A stag weekend in Newcastle and part of the group decided they wanted an Indian on Saturday night so found this place on line.

After Google told us it was 1.5 miles from the hotel and walking around 3 miles to get there (still not sure if this was the fault of google maps or the navigator) we arrived weary from our walk and wet from the rain. We were immediately welcomed by the friendly staff and given the booth that we had been allocated for the meal

Of course we started with beers but the service was quick and selection was great so shortly we had our starters presented to us which were a taste sensation.

Happy with the meal so far we were excited for our mains which certainly did not disappoint in terms of portion size or taste. (I have never seen a naan bread as big as the one we got)

Stuffed and now well equipped with stomach lining for the rest of our night we got the bill and we're all pleasantly surprised at what it came into as a couple of beers each, poppadoms, starters, main course, rice, breads per person came in under £25 each which in our view was a bargain for what we had had

Next time I'm in Newcastle this place is definitely on my list to return to

Thanks to everyone in the restaurant
