I've been meaning to come here since its opening. We were not disappointed. The car park was full but we were imaginative parking on the grass.

It's a great buzzing atmosphere and was chocca block when we went on a Thursday evening. Service was prompt, courteous and informative. The prices are reasonable and there's a great selection.

The food was served well and I was very impressed with the portion - I'm greedy and like lotsa of food and am ashamed to say I was defeated. I saw lots of others having a good time as well and we certainly had a good time.

We were quickly served, quickly ate and settled up offering a generous tip as they deserved it.

I'll definitely take esteemed guests and family here alike in the very near future.

I eat a lot of Indian food. A lot. And luigikhans is up there with the best. It is excellent. So good, I went three times in a week. Can't believe I've only just found this place. The mixed grill starter (it's really main course size) is delicious. The nans are huge. Ordering slight changes to what was on the menu was no problem and it is very good value. Portion sizes were very good. Having the hotel there also meant a very easy crawl to bed.

Didn't start well when it was £2.50 for the pickle tray to accompany my popadoms! That said, the popadoms were crispy and warm and a good size.

No lime pickle though? If I am paying through the nose I expect the 'works'

The main course was a different story though. Ordered two chapattis and a chicken karai. The portion was enourmous. Piping hot and you could really taste the spicing. The chapattis were the best I've ever eaten.

I can see how it gets it's rating. The meal was so good I can't hold the pricing of the pickle tray against them.

Splendid

Visited last week with some friends. All 6 of us enjoyed a lot. The only thing that was missing was the customer service. I mean the food was really awesome but no one came to the table to ask if we needed any more drinks or anything. Apart from that 5 stars. Good value for money. Will be back.

I was a bit worried by the name Luigi Khans thinking it might be somewhere that does both Italian and Indian food, thankfully I need not have worried, its a brilliant Indian restaurant. The many positive comments about this place are well deserved. I've tried many Indian restaurants in the North East but this beats them all. Loved everything about this place from the friendliness of the staff, decor, car parking and especially the quality of the food. Between 4 of us we'd 3 mains, two veg sides, two rice and one stuffed Nan and one plain Nan. Loved the Lamb and Spinach curry in particular. My advice on the Nans is only buy one between four, they are delicious but HUGE. I cannot wait to go back.
