“Excellent hotel”
Reviewed 25 March 2013 via mobile

Fancied a weekend away for 2 nights and got this quite cheap online (total: £71).

It is a very clean hotel, smack bang in the middle of Newcastle by the Tyne. Staff very friendly and helpful. There was a 'stag do' on this weekend and it was VERY noisy in the bar/restaurant but apart from that it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay with lots of FREE parking spaces both underneath the hotel and outside.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed 3 nights with my partner and elderly mum. Did have a few minor issues, but quickly and efficiently dealt with by excellent friendly staff, who will go out their way to please/help. Meal deal is good value, 3 course dinner, drink and breakfast for £22.99, dining room is quite small so advise booking. Rooms are same as any other premier inn but adequate and comfortable. As other guests have commented before, more tea coffee milks etc are available freely from reception, you only need to ask!!

Stayed for a few nights while on a business trip in Newcastle. Hotel staff were friendly and the rooms were decent and clean. We ate in the restaurant one night and were pleasently surprised by the quality of the food. Only a 10/15 minute walk into the centre of town where there are pleanty of bars and restaurants.

Yes its a Premier Inn, however really really clean and staff very friendly. No problem to ask for extra tea bags. coffee etc. Booking a taxi all very easy. There was fund rasing activities going on and that was good fun. Very easy to walk to Quayside or city centre but taxis were also cheap.

Stayed on a Friday night for a bargain £19. Had a great room with a view of the river, the Baltic and looking further down to the Tyne Bridge. Really clean room, free wifi and free parking. Reception staff really helpful. Really easy to get into town or the Quayside. The best VFM in town

Yes, the hotel is perfectly adequate and good value if you can book well in advance to keep the cost down. However if you need to put a crease in your suit trousers (no trouser press), like more than 2 cups of tea or coffee a day in the room (only 2 sachets of each) or like to use WIFI for more than 30 minutes a day, then better try a different chain...

I am glad that you received a warm welcome from us. If you choose to stay at Premier Inn again there are plenty of extra teas and coffees at Reception, there are always Iron and Iron Boards available and some Premiers do have trousers presses. The Wifi is free for 30mins on each devise that you have per day otherwise it is reasonable priced at £3 for 24 hours.

Hopefully we will be able to welcome you back to Premier Inn again in the near future.

Stayed on a Friday night as we were seeing Stiff Little Fingers and others at the O2 academy. Reception staff were friendly and helpful when checking in and booking us a taxi. Location is good for centre of the toon less than a fiver in a taxi. Bar was ok and reasonably priced for a hotel at less than £3 a pint and its open till 3am. Had a room at end of second floor which was very quiet and overlooked the river and the sights of the Tyne. Room was very clean and spacious with everything that you need and oceans of piping hot water. 30 mins free wifi. All this for a bargain £19!! Would definitely return.

Room Tip: End of corridor room 229 no passing traffic and view of river. We requested when booking and they d...
