I've very seldom had any disappointments when using Premier Inn. I've visited this particular one on several occasions. It's situated only a few minutes walk from the spectacular Millennium Bridge and a short walk to the Sage music theatre therefore its ideal for any concert goers. It will take you between 10 - 15 mins to walk to the City Centre. Our room was clean and we also got an early entry. Service was excellent although we didn't eat on our visit. A big plus is that there is free parking. Happy to recommend

Everything you'd want for a short stay in Newcastle.....Comfy bed, clean rooms, friendly service happy staff....what I don't understand is if Premier Inns can get it so right why cant other hotels....they make it seem so easy.

Thanks to all the staff

Was 'stranded' in Newcastle last night due to bad weather so I stayed at premier inn at millennium bridge. Staff couldn't have been more helpful or lovely. Food decent. Room spotless and as always, a wonderfully comfortable bed. Great value and consistent high standard of customer service whichever premier inn I stay inn. Staff should feel proud xxx

Stayed for business, 3 nights. Staff were helpful and friendly, food was good (bacon a tad hard in the am). Room spotless and tidy. Bed dipped a little- but was still comfy. Despite having a river facing room- the windows were always covered in condensation- so couldn't see anything! No power sockets next to chaise or bed- so if you want to keep in contact with the outside world and need to plug in- you need to be at the desk/dresser (unless you have several feet of cable that is). Not much heed paid to Premier Inns 'solo traveller' policies- dark carpark- particularly covered section; room number repeated, repeatedly in front of other guests (albeit absentmindedly); room was also at the end of a long corridor. This solo traveller policy being one of the reasons the firm uses Premier Inns. To reitterate though, the staff were lovely and it created a stress free and friendly atmosphere. I slept well, ate well and worked well.

A planned two night stay (Friday & Saturday) was cut short due to the amount of noise. The location lends itself to parties going into town for weekend drinking. Friday we were awoken from 2.00am through to 3.30am as various group return from their night out, accompanied by the usual shouting/door slamming etc. Not idea but we kind of expect this due to the location & the fact it was a Friday night. Saturday night we returned to the room around 8.30pm only to endure an hour of various group shouting, drinking & larking around in the corridor. After discussion with my partner we felt we would rather pack up & face a 250 mile drive home than stay another night. It was the right decision! I can only guess what it was like at the early hours when they return, if it was like this before they left! To be fair to the staff they offered to move us but by then the damage was done & the weekend was ruined. We all expect some noise staying in hotels, but this was something else. So my advice is avoid at all costs if you stay over a weekend & want a reasonable nights sleep.
