Premier Inn Newcastle City Centre (Millennium Bridge) Hotel
Reviewed 10 February 2014

Our first time at a Premier Inn & we were very impressed. A very good hotel, excellent location & very friendly staff. Will definitely be stopping there again. The price went up £100 in a week from the first time i looked at it, so booking early is what it will be doing in the future!

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay here at the Premier Inn.

I was pleased to hear that you enjoyed your first stay at a Premier Inn and hopefully you will chose to use the Brand again in the future.

All the best deals are on the Internet, Premierinn.com and we do have room sales throughout the year so you can grab a bargain.

Hopefully we can welcome you back to the hotel again in the near future.

Kind regards

This premier inn exceeded all expectations I could have had! The location was brilliant, only a few minutes walk from Quayside (which was beautiful) and the drive into the centre was only about 5 minutes. The taxi services were great in pricing (we paid a maximum of £7 over our stay of two nights, cheapest £3!!)

There were two of us on this trip and we stayed Friday-Sunday.. we had the intention of coming to Newcastle for the nightlife and it certainly did not disappoint. Saturday nights are crazy are town (Tup Tup and Bijoux were brill!) and the staff at the hotel allowed us to come and go as we please. We had security knock on our door on the early hours of Sunday morning to tell us to keep the noise down but they were very polite about it which I was really pleased with.. usually I've had encounters with really nasty security.

The beds were ridiculously comfortable.. I have never had a better night sleep in a hotel in my life, ever. The pillows and mattress were so soft and easy to sleep on and was perfect for when you were drunk and just wanted to crash out straight away. The room was spotless when we got there, even the bathroom. The temperature of the water in the shower and the room were perfect, we didn't need to adjust it at all although the staff at reception did tell us how to when we checked in.

The staff were absolutely brilliant. As 20 year olds coming to Newcastle for the nightlife I thought they would automatically frown upon us staying there assuming we would make noise and be a hassle etc, but they didn't judge at all. They made good conversation on our arrival, were friendly and always cheerful and checked us in quickly with no problems. We asked for extra towels, taxi numbers and a takeaway menu during our stay and they were more than happy to help us out. Check out was quick and me and my friend left on a real high.. we didn't want to leave!

The city is beautiful, the nightlife is insane and this premier inn just topped off our whole stay. We will most definitely be back and we wouldn't even think about staying anywhere else. I would 100% recommend this premier inn to anyone. It was such a brilliant weekend, thank you!!!!!!

We enjoyed our first visit to Newcastle and staying at the Premier Inn Millenium Bridge. Initially there was a problem with our room as there was some staining on the carpet. However, within minutes we were given another room which was perfect. The way in which the issue was handled so quickly and efficiently says a lot for the hotel. The staff were also very apologetic which demonstrated good customer service skills.

Previously at other Premier Inns we had to pay for parking so it was a pleasant surprise that there was ample free parking available.

We also found that the food was very good which was really helpful after a long day of exploring the city and surrounding areas. It meant that we could relax and unwind without having to worry about going out for food. As vegetarians we found plenty to choose from on the menu and when the food arrived it did not disappoint.

The location of this hotel suited us as mostly what we were visiting was not in the city centre. We also found the staff happy to give information relating to sight seeing, shopping, etc. All in all we had a great two day stay and look forward to visiting again!

We stayed for 2 nights on a short break visiting Newcastle for the first time. The Hotel was as we expected having stayed at "Premiers" before, our only real disappointment was the Premier description as a City Centre Hotel, it isn't, it is convenient for the Quayside which is an easy stroll away but the City Centre, Shops and Nightlife are not close by. That did not spoil our stay though. THe Hotel public areas and Bedroom were clean and tidy, all the Staff we had dealings with were very friendly and helpful, we dined in the on site Restaurant on our first night which was perfectly acceptable, there is also an adjoining bar. We had a room facing the Quayside and did not experience any noise problems at all. The on site car park is free for Hotel Guests which is a pleasant change and 30 minutes of free wifi is available.
All in all perfectly acceptable except for the City Centre description.

Room Tip: Look out for the Premier Inn Flash sales to get the best room rates.

I was pleased that on the whole you enjoyed your stay and that the team looked after you well.

I was sorry to hear that you did not find out location to your expectations. If you do chose to come to Newcastle again we do have a Premier Inn that is right in the centre of the shopping area.

Stayed here again on a Friday night, so was half expecting a noisy / sleepless night. The staff had put us in the 'sschhh' zone, and we could have heard a pin drop!

Excellent value again when booked on offer. Staff friendly and efficient.

Good location for the quayside.

Just returned from a Saturday night at this Premier Inn. The room was large and very clean. We were on the first floor I had asked for a quiet room and it was fairly quiet. There were a few creaks from the floorboards above us but nothing major. We were towards the back of the hotel so no traffic noise.

There are plenty of buses into the city centre (£1.40 each way for an adult) and the staff on reception were very helpful and provided a map of exactly where to go. A taxi into the centre costs £3.30 and reception will book this for you. Plenty of free parking at the hotel which is a good bonus.

I asked for extra coffee and milk for the room which were provided no problem. All in all the staff at this hotel are some of the friendliest I have come across anywhere - well done Premier Inn others could learn a lot from you.
