Stayed here for 3 nights. Room was basic, double bed tv with selective freeview channels. Iron, ironing board and kettle with tea and coffee readily available in the room. The only downside is that there isn't a wardrobe as such, places to hang a few items of clothing, but no drawers so you end up living out of a case.
Breakfast was nice, but there were a couple of things highlighted in the menu that were not readily available like there was no muesli and the granola did not contain any almonds.
Nice touch in the hotel included paper maps of Newcasle City centre that also included maps of the transport network. Also for your convienance there were a couple of business cards from local cab companies. The train station is about a 10-15 minute walk along a footpath, this is not well lit in the night. Trains operate about a half hourly service to Newcastle Central Station, but are more frequent at the weekend.
Overall we had a nice peaceful stay in a reasonably priced hotel that included breakfast which was not too far to the city centre.
