Stayed recently on a short visit to New Castle.This was one of the best holiday inn express I have stayed in.Staff were friendly and helpful.Room service was excellent.Highly recommended.Location is very convenient but not walking distance from main attractions.

The team at the Hotel work very hard to ensure all our guests have a great experience at the Hotel and i am pleased they have delivered on their customer service again.
Although the Hotel is not within walking distance to the main attractions there is a public transport link just on the road outside the Hotel.

Friendly staff, clean hotel and good food. Excellent value for money. This hotel was within walking distance to the metro centre. Could not fault the hotel in anyway, enjoyed my stay and would definetly stay again. Have stayed at other Holiday Inns and my experience has always been a positive one.

We stayed here for three nights while touring the surrounding area. The room was spotlessly clean and a decent size. The staff were very helpful and pleasant and the buffet breakfast was better than usual buffet breakfasts. I would stay here again.

Booked an easy to get to hotel for a stopover whilst travelling back from Cambridgeshire to Scotland. Our room was near a lift and overlooking a shared carpark so was initially concerned about noise. But the two nights we stayed there were very peaceful without any noise.
The breakfast choice was good but was let down by the orange juice from a dispenser. The first morning it tasted like fresh juice but the next morning it tasted like watered down squash.
We left our car whilst staying here as getting about is easy. The first night we dined at the next door pub after walking back from the Metrocentre which is a 15 minute walk away. The next day we got a cheap bus into Newcastle. The bus stop is about 50 metres away on the dual carriageway outside the hotel with very frequent cheap buses.
We would definitely stop here again.

We needed somewhere to break the journey travelling south and this fitted the bill perfectly. If I was to be hyper critical the rooms were on the hot side (could have opened the window!!) and not particularly big, but for less than £50 with breakfast it's excellent value. The staff were all friendly and helpful and it's a 2 minute drive from the metro centre and a short hop to the A1. We will certainly use it again.
